I'm 10 weeks out from my implant and so far, it's the best decision I've made for my sex life. I've had more sex in the past 4 weeks than I have in the past 5 years. My penis near my glans where the firm tips are get sore. How long did it take for this to resolve?

It is impossible to say how much will last that soreness. I am almost 4 months after surgery and I have been able to have sex just once, on 24th December. That first successful time (I tried 3 weeks before and I had to stop after 5 minutes due to pain in the tips and lack of size), got me sore for 4 days. Not the tips, the whole penis, and the internal body (like a prostate pain, or sphinter pain, not able to locate precissely).

Also I have something between pain and disconfort in my penis when deflated.

You are 10 weeks out, 2 1/2 months. If you only have thar soreness in tips after sex, you are quite ahead of me in the healing process.

Impossible to know when all these disconfort, pain, soreness, will dissapear. I just hope it will occurs before 3 months more. In your case, seeing your progress, will occur for sure before your fourth or fifth month.

I read you post and wanted to tell you it was encouraging to me. I am scheduled for implant January 9th. Went for my readmission testing yesterday. I have been torn for several weeks if I am doing the right thing for me and at this point I am convinced it is the right decision for me. I wish you the best of luck and keep using your new toy!

Good luck with your surgery! I hope it is smooth sailing for you and honestly, the worst part was the urinary catheter. I developed a delayed reaction to the dissolvable sutures, but all healed up after some local wound care with hot packs and antibiotic ointment. It's amazing what a functioning penis can do for your libido and confidence. I don't think I realized just how much it effected my sense of being a man. I love my penis now.

Funny you should say that and I just finished 63 hours of a challenged self-catheterization. Wasn't very comfortable at times but I wanted to push myself because I know some people HAVE to wear them 24/7/365. I wore a 14 fr Foley and a Belly-Bag for just over two days and 15 hours with no medical reason. I installed it using a modified clean, almost a sterile procedure.
