9 Weeks Post-Op: 75% of Shaft is Dead Numb

I'm about 9 weeks post-op with an AMS 700 LGX. Pre-surgery Trimix-injected erect length was 7-1/8"; post-op inflated erect length is 6-5/8". Post-op shaft girth is noticeably less than before surgery, except at the base. No floppy glans.
My erect dick is now wider, but less cylindrical in shape and appearance than before surgery. Erect, it is now sort of wide and somewhat flat in shape -- think of the shape of a tapered popsicle.
Flaccid, my dick is now nearly as long as it is when inflated erect. Deflated, it presents a conspicuous bulge in my dress slacks (even so in jeans) -- and it's especially conspicuous when I wear boxers.
Am vacationing in the Caribbean this week and went to the resort's pool dressed in board shorts (a kind of swimming trunk much like boxers). Bulge is very conspicuous, especially when I get out of the pool with a wet swimsuit on, that I have to quickly find a towel to wrap around and conceal myself.
When I go to urinate, my dick now feels like a large semi-rigid maleable plastic tube. After unzipping, I have to bend my body slightly over and forward to get my dick through the fly of my boxers and pants (sort of like a piss hard-on). A little awkward, but nevertheless serviceable.
My only complaint (none of the above notes are necessarily post-op complaints) is that 75% of my dick on the ventral, left, and right sides of the shaft is totally dead numb and without any sensation. Most of the dorsal side and all of the glans is unaffected and remains sensitive, just as it was before surgery. And about 50% of my scrotal sack is also numb and without any sensation. The incision is a bit tender and painful 9 weeks post op.
The IPP's pump bulb is very low in the scrotum such that it looks like I have a third testicle. And when I sit down, the pump bulb uncomfortably stretches the skin at the base of my ball sack and pinches against the perineum. To get comfortable, I usually have to sit with my legs apart -- and I find myself frequently adjusting the resting position of my flaccid dick.
In spite of all these post-op observations, having an inflatable hard dick is a lot better than having no hard dick. And sex is pretty good.
Question: For those of you who've had the IPP surgery, do you regain total sensation in the shaft and, if so, how long after surgery?
