Hello there! Scheduled for Coloplast implants with Dr. Martin Gross may 29. Wondering how much pain I can expect, and how soon I'll be able up get back to doing normal stuff (motorcycle/ATV)?

Thank you!

Had my procedure February 11. It'll be two weeks tomorrow. I took the Oxy the doc provided for the first week, then switched to 1000mg of Tylenol for another three days. No pain at this point, just some soreness. I've been cleared to return to the gym for LIGHT upper body lifting today and walking on the treadmill.

I could have gone back to work (probably half time and with a conspicuous bulge in my pants) after a week, but took three because I had the leave time available and chose to err on the side of caution.

Factors to consider are:

Degree of inflation your surgeon leaves you after the operation. (This is mostly for the comfort of your co-workers and clients.)
Degree of inflation and its effect on your posture. (Can you sit and move around comfortably?)
Your pain level and tolerance for it. (Staying horizontal was a LOT more comfortable for me than sitting or standing for the first two weeks)
The more you rest and stay off your feet, the quicker you heal.
Do not discount the luxury of having a caretaker to pamper you. (Don't over-extend your convalescence, either.)

I wish you luck. I use a tractor, zero turn and ATV on my farm a lot. After my titan pump was in I have a hard time using the atv. It just seems to end up getting pushed under at every bump and makes me sore.

Sitting on the mower or tractor in a seat is no issue but straddling the atv is uncomfortable for longer than an hour or so.
