Just had a revision 5 months ago. The bulb & tubing failed again last night. This time I was super careful when deflating/inflating. About to setup 3rd revision within 2 years. Don’t even know what to think anymore. Depressed af!

Did you use the same surgeon? Wondering if there may be an issue with his implantation technique.

That is a great question. Coloplast devices require the surgeon to make tubing connections. Has little to do with the living flesh surgical technique. Has a lot more to do with the mechanics of crimping/connecting the tubes and connectors.

I was implanted with a titan by Dr. Hakky too. Did he say what may have caused the failure?

He says the Coloplast Titan tubing is weak & ruptures, but after 5 months

Sorry to hear about the failure...a defect somewhere. However you are the one who has to suffer thru all the headaches going thru surgeries. They should pay you now....

Doesn’t Dr. Eid offer a 10-year warranty on his installation if the Titan fails?

You are a young and athletic guy compared to a lot of us here. Are you engaging in any physical activities that might stress the implant? Possibly something like deep squats, horseback riding, mountain biking, martial arts, saturation diving, motocross, etc? Not looking to assign blame, just looking for possible cause for such a high failure rate. I often wonder if my long distance bicycling is eventually going to cause a failure for me.

Let us know if you find out more details about the failure. Very concerning for guys with a Titan.
