Advice for a 24 year old considering implant

Hi guys,
To cut a long story short I have been dealing with quite severe ED for several years as a result of many years on a drug known as accutane. It seems One of the side effects of accutane can be some kind of change in gene expression that leads to a lack of libido and seemingly permanent erectile issues.
Without getting too involved in a debate regarding side effects and science, the end result is a 24 year old with zero erections and a very low libido. Unsurprisingly, this is making things difficult when engaging in sexual relations, cialis and viagra no longer work and I would prefer not to use injections.
I am aware that an implant is a permanent step and irreversible. In my situation it seems a good middle ground however. I would be interested in the views of anyone with a knowledge as to how realistic an implant would be at this age. I am aware revisions would be needed at an average rate of every 5 years or so but is there a limit to the number of revisions one could have over their lifetime ?
After revision surgery, how have long have you all needed for downtime? The same as with the initial surgery or do you find you recover quicker ?
I am also interested in sensation, I have read that in some cases the Penis head can be desensitised after the surgery, this would be an issue as I am already experiencing some desensitisation.
Finally, can you still live an active life with an implant ?
