Beyond Frustrated

I’m 3 1/2 weeks post implant. Received AMS 700 3 piece. Still having a lot of pain at incision. The biggest frustration is I can’t inflate. Had check up with dr yesterday. He wants to see me again in 2 weeks. Told me to keep trying. I got it to deflate. Now can’t get it to inflate. Build is hard as a rock. I’ve squeezed so hard my incision started to ooze. I spoke to rep on phone. Told me to actually press the deflate bottom and squeeze bulb at same time. It did allow me to squeeze the bulb. However after the initial pump it went back to being hard as a rock again. I’m trying to do the striction thing where you squeeze the deflate box to free it up but can’t get it oriented where I can. It hurts too much. I’m beyond frustrated. Hoping that something isn’t wrong. No way I’m going back into surgery.

It is extremely hard to pump or deflate in the first 4 weeks. You cant get your hand squeeze when your mind is telling you it will hurt. My Doc had me 80-90% hard for the first 4 weeks. Hurt like hell all the time. Went to my Docs practitioner to get it released. He squeezed the button and I saw stars of pain. He smiled and said, see, it does work just fine. Mind over matter. Leave it alone and let it heal another week. Good luck.

On a funny note. I’m getting lots of looks walking around with it partially inflated. Alison on a side note. I do not feel any notches or bumps on the bulb. It’s completely smooth.

The grooves won't be palpable ("feelable"). They're only there for friction within you scrotum when you're pumping so the pump isn't as likely to be launched across your scrotum and into your left nut or the underside of your dick as mine has done a time or two.

Has anyone has oozing ? Right at top of my incision I’m leaking fluid. Somewhat bloody but some clear. No infection just oozing.

At 7-12 days mine had already lost the DermaBond and scab and was raw and leaving marks in my white briefs. It burned a bit too when touching it. My doctor said it was normal and since he was supposed to see me at 15 days anyway, just keep it clean and covered and he would check it out on day 15.

I put a small square of gauze over it in a diamond fashion with an "X" of white cloth surgical tape to hold it in place. I started out disinfecting it with Iodine but he said to just keep it clean so I stopped the Iodine which could irritate the raw skin and slow healing.

My to- stitch oozed for a few weeks. Doc said it was nothing to worry about.

I’m at 4 weeks now. Able to deflate no problem. However inflating is another story. Bulb still hard as a rock. I Ve tried everything to make it easier. Heating pads, hot baths, squeezing the sides for striction, all to no avail. It’s still still as hell and causes pretty good pain having to squeeze this hard. I don’t know what to do. I spoke to AMS rep last week and did everything she said. Still nothing is making it easier. I should be able to cycle this daily. I’m able after deflation to get it to about 60 % erect. But that’s it. I’m afraid that I’m losing my window of gaining length and girth. I leave it at 60%. But don’t know if that’s enough. Scared to death that something is wrong. I’m still having considerable pain at incision.

May I suggest that at this stage of healing. 60% might be as close to 100% as you'll get. Merely a comment. If you are getting in as many pumps as humanly possible. I would say that you are stretching the implant as far as your body will allow at this time. Thus your are getting the pumping protocol done. As time passes, I'm sure that you'll progressively get more pumps in.
