I would want one of the better implant guys doing my surgery. Who are several good ones?
I have no idea how to find out, other than word-of-mouth. I have one, and he likes to "hurry" me up. Let's get this visit over. I really don't need that kind of attitude.
Any in the Southern US would be good. Eastern seaboard would be fine, too.

Hi rbig500
I am scheduled for an implant 6/1/12. I am going to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL and seeing Dr. Broderick. He seems very knowledgeable at what he is doing and is very caring.

A while back (2010) there was a thread on the best doctors who do penile implants. Here's the link to that thread:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=152&start=0&hilit=run+wangI recommend reading the entire thread.
Some of the doctors may have moved to other states. I'm sure they very in their approach and temperament. Some may take your insurance--if you have any and if it covers this procedure. Good luck!

About experience with Dr Eid, I used him and am completely pleased. If you use the implant forum search function for "Eid" you will find many posts of people's experiences with him, including mine.

Dr. Eid is a master and he is very personable and caring. He and his staff are very professional and always there for you. I had my surgery in December and Dr. Eid will return my calls if I have any questions. I think that is what is important, especially when you have surgery and unsure about what is happening to you. He is also the one that will correct another doctors "job"....
I highly recommend Dr. Eid! Wish you the best of luck with your decision.

I,too, am considering having an inflatable 3-pc. implant in a few months. My uro/surgeon is Dr. Paul Jo who has offices here in Ocala, Florida, teaches at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville and has been doing the implant surgery for the past 20 years. He also did my Cryogenic PC surgery in June of last year. I trust him, believe in him and respect his expertise in doing the surgery.
