I’m a nobody but, my bro guess would be the crus is deeper on one side then the other. Maybe a skilled surgeon could even it out with a full replacement? I’m sure you have your own ideas but definitely get the opinion of several doctors/surgeons what they think is going on.

CT scan was for some Gastric problems I am having for the last few months but I have been having pain from the RTE's for almost 2 years. Local doctors do not do revisions and any diagnosis by them would be to only determine removal of the implant and they are reluctant to do any testing. Basically if it hurts bad enough they will remove it but not replace it. Evaluation of the CT therefore was related to Gastric issues and not implant issues. So I have no information on the CT report about this. As I am sure there are more knowledgeable and objective members on this site than me, I was just trying to see if there were something I could look into that would explain this other than maybe a personal fear I have.

Thank you for the reply and I will research uneven crus.

See if Eid or Kramer (or Perito) will respond to you if you sent them a copy by email. Kind of an unofficial expert opinion.

On second thought, Kramer installed it so he might be iffy for the opinion (more defensive than clinical). You might choose to forego his opinion.

I tried one of the big name guys and the one I talked to wanted to do an office visit and testing. That was before the CT scan but I am not sure the CT would change much as that doctor wanted a MRI. Right now I am just trying to get opinions of what the cause of this may be from our members here. Trying to get as much information as I can before I start speending more money for talking to other doctors and sending the CT scan to them. Thank you for your reply.

Maybe or maybe not. When I look at the ends of the cylinders mine and yours seem to be about the same in reference to each other as far as front to back. Mine are not both on the same level (head to feet) as yours so I have no picture like yours. One is so much lower that the other they cannot be in the same picture. Mine only show up separately. But then my scan was not for my implant. And mine are so far back my pain is in my rectum. Did you you have pain at that location? I do have other areas of concern as I am sure you do/did if your cylinders were the same lenght as mine are. Please tell me more about your problem. Were they/can they just remove the one cylinder and properly reincert it?

I had the scan ordered by my new Uro because the implant lost all the fluid. As for pain, the only pain that I recall was the typically installation soreness. My biggest complaint from the initial installation was, when I inflated it the thing would point to the right. The more I inflated it the more it went sideways, very difficult to have sex. See the photo. My new Uro, has submitted a claim to my insurance to have the entire prosthetic replaced due to failure.

Same with me but so far no device failure. Except I point to the left not the right and it was that way after they closed me in surgery and can be seen in my surgery vid in my signature. The cylinders are kind of like I) in my shaft. For you it would have been kind of like (I for the cylinders. When I inflate enough to have sex and the shaft is bent to the left so when it is moved straight it pushes the RTE into something that causes pain. Just wonder if the cylinder(s) that are misplaced might be able to be corrected without replacing everything. But I am over 2.5 years on this device so most likely a new device would be required. Just hate to go through breaking in another new pump and cylinders. Getting this one to work was a great deal of trouble.

Well I have an update. I messaged AMS and the KS rep contacted me. He said that my local guy does revisions. And that I should go see him again. So I printed off the scan pics above. Doc said he does not do revisions but could remove it for me (same as my visit a year ago). Said if I wanted a revision/repair he could send me out somewhere but he would need to check around. I ask him about insurance as I was restricted to part of KS unless there was no one to provide the service I needed. He said he would need to do some checking as to who he could refer me to. So maybe 2021 will be the year I can get back to having pain free sex again. But I will have to wait and see what insurance does. I'm sure it will not happen this year as I have meet my deductibles and max out of pocket. But there is a slim chance that I won't have to wait until the summer of 2022 and Medicare. Just had to share and if you have any spare good luck laying around send it this way.
