Injection still work but you took the Implant step... Comments

Postby LookingUp » Tue Oct 27, 2020 10:46 pm

As above. I'd like to hear from guys that went with an implant even though Tri-mix or other injections still worked. I know all about the side effects, physical and mental, with injections. What are your thoughts after getting the implant? Is there remorse that you should of stayed with injections longer? Is the implant better and how? Are there as many "work arounds" with the implant?

I was set to go with Dr. Eid early this year and Covid19 shut that down. Have restarted injections even though my hourglass/right turn shaft is increasing. The longer the spike in CV cases goes, the longer I delay. Very Frustrated to have made a decision and blocked from Follow Through.

Thoughts and Help here.

When oral medications lost efficacy, I skipped suppositories and injections altogether. That decision was for a number of factors, including the risk of scarring and the inconvenience of the timing (inject and wait, then have sex and hope the erection and the desire have the same timing).

I used a Vacuum Erection Device (VED) for therapy (to maintain size and elasticity and blood flushing through the penis tissues) and attempted sex with a VED-induced erection sustained with a constriction band. Two times, neither very satisfactory.

It was clear to me that no true cure for my ED (impotence) was on the horizon, so taking the treatment of implantation was the logical choice. My Doctor concurred and I was on the path to implant. Cautiously, but inexorably.

I was still getting erections with Trimix but they actually and if I penetrated something right I would still go soft. I could pull.out and is get hard again. It just kept repeating the same process again. Guess it was the venous leakage.
Anyway I went with the implant on the 1st of September. New to the implant but so far I'm happy. It sure does get hard and stays that way.

Never even considered injections for one second. Just went straight to the fix. Got the implant which took care of everything.no more peyronies. No halfway erections. No curve. No hourglass. No plaque. No pills.

The only difference between my pre ed erection and this one is I have to pump it up.

The trimix injections still worked for me! However,I started developing hard places on both sides of my penis. My urologist confirmed they were from the injections and I almost panicked. There wasn’t hardly any other choice for me except get an implant. Have never regretted it.

I can get an erection unlike any I have ever gotten on my own. It is a wonderful powerful thing to see and feel. I think my wife loves it as much as I do! No needles, syringes, or alcohol. Wish I had gone straight to implant. Hope the hard places will disapate in time.

trimix was still working for me when I decided to get the implant.

The Trimix drawbacks for me were: Inconvenience of transporting/carrying a dose (I am single and have different partners)

Excusing myself to the bathroom to give myself the shot.

Limiting dosing to three times per week (I did every other day sometimes).

Trying to figure out how to refrigerate doses when traveling .

limiting sessions to one shot per encounter (it would last maybe 30 minutes , so forget about
anymore activity that day.

Risk of Peyronie's, priapism, scarring (I experienced none of these)

loss of sensitivity

The implant eliminated all of the above, except the sensitivity thing, which I think might be aging. I am less sensitive at full inflation.

I will say that Trimix gave me more of a natural-feeling erection, which I think has a lot to do with a blood-filled penis as opposed to a saline-filled one. It definitely was warmer and chubbier on Trimix.

So...I guess its a trade-off. The implant gave me a more reliable erection and a confidence that I never had before. For me, it does not feel as natural, but others would probably disagree.

Wishing you the best

Can’t really offer any real world advice yet. Hopefully my trimix will be here Friday, but beginning of next week if not. I’m very certain that my urologist I just started seeing would have started the process for an implant if I’d have wanted to go that route, but the wife wanted to try the injection first. I think part was because I didn’t give her enough info about how implants work but part was to try that before going with the “last resort”. Uro was very supportive of the decision. As he put it, we can always try injection and still do an implant later, but if we went straight to the implant there’s no going back.

Well I’ll just say did injections for 10 years hated sticking myself but the rewards were worth the effort. Last Jan I moved to Implant. I wish I had known how easy the surgery was going to be. I regret that I did not do this years ago.
