Keeping Penis upright after surgery?

Postby hopefuluser » Sat Nov 28, 2020 8:39 pm

OK so I just had my implant this past Tuesday, installed by Ricardo Munarriz. I saw in the aftercare packet that I should keep my penis upright (even facing my belly button). It didn’t say why it was important. But it certainly was painful. When Munarriz visited me in the hospital I asked him if it was necessary to do that and he said a) no you don’t need to wear a jock and b) I didn’t need to worry about positioning the penis in any way. As he said “however it angles it angles.”

I then double-checked with a urology resident in his office and they said the same thing. Basically, do whatever is most comfortable and there’s not much that can be done to get length back after the surgery anyway. They also said the penis would naturally get more flaccid over the next week as the swelling goes down.

Does this jibe with others’ experiences? I see a lot of people here who said their docs wanted them to position their penis upright for one reason or another...

Have you been left partially inflated after surgery? In that case i think it may not be necessary to keep in your penis up. I had my surgery about one week ago and doctor told me to keep it up, but my implant is totally deflated. He told me that i can't stop doing that as soon as I inflate it daily. The explanation was that it's to avoid the penis to get a downward shape.

This was exactly what happened to me after my October 26 procedure. My doctor said just don’t push it down. The first week it stuck straight out and then I got a bend to the tight. Now 5 weeks out now it is straight as can be—perfect. Hang in there and don’t worry about taping it to your belly!
