Maximize Pumping Power (Hands on approach)

“ GENE'S MAXIMUM PUMP POWER” Harder erections and better expansion

Background:

I found very early after my AMS 700 CX was activated that it was almost impossible for me to exert enough force on the pump to fully pressurize the cylinders so that the CX cylinders would expand and I would gain girth and have a “rock” hard erection. Using the methods in the AMS pump video, my thumbs and pointer fingers, even two handed, were not strong enough. In my high school sports days I sustained a severe thumb injury on my left (non-dominant) hand which hinders me.

I took the AMS sample pump (see Illustration 1 and 2), popped the top off and filled the body with silicone and replaced the top. It took a week or two for the silicone to fully cure. I wanted to use this rubber filled pump as an exercise tool to build my strength. It did work ,somewhat, until I discovered a method that allows me to fully inflate the cylinders where I can feel the expansion and strain in my shaft to the point of slight discomfort. I can now get an incredibly hard erection where my wife says it hurts her. I now am under orders to limit my pumping to 21 pumps. I call it the steel penis :-)

Let me describe the method and encourage you to try it.

I studied the bio-mechanics of the human hand and experimented endlessly. I also was very aware how slippery the pump was in the scrotum. Pocket billiards is an apt description if you are not careful. It was like trying to squeeze a greased marble.

I will try to describe my method in logical order:
1) Hand bio-mechanics to get the highest pressure
2) How to grasp the pump to minimize slippage
3) How to place your arms and hands to make this method work

I need to put these in separate posts as I cannot put more than 3 pictures in a post.

Hand Bio-mechanics:

Logic dictated that the more fingers you can use simultaneously the more force you can exert. Also the better the hand geometry is to establish leverage the greater will be the pumping force. I have included Illustrations 3-4 to show the hand and finger placement. This Illustrations is what I see looking down at my scrotum as I inflate the cylinders with the pump.

Bio-mechanics continued

Description. Grasp the pump in the non-dominant hand using two fingers and the thumb (pointer and index finger) Illustration 5. Bring in the dominant had at 90 degrees. Place thumb on thumb and then I place three fingers of my dominant hand on top of the two fingers of my non-dominant hand grasping the pump. Now I have five fingers and two thumbs working the pump. See Illustration 6

llustration 7 is from an observers perspective looking directly at me.

In addition I can slide my dominate hand down so the two fingers grasping the pump move closer to my dominate hand increasing leverage and thus pressure illustration 7.

How to grasp the pump to minimize slippage:

I have found two approaches to limit slippage, that I use simultaneously.

1) I found that if I wrap the skin of my scrotum around the pump as I grasp it, this can greatly limit the pumps ability to slip Illustration 8. The green paper represents my scrotal skin, There are two realities of this approach: a) inside the scrotum is sensitive and b) the pump body has many small ridges for traction. Early on pumping hurts the inside scrotal skin. I found as I used it more the skin toughened up and pain/discomfort disappeared.
2) I place the pinky of my dominate (pumping) hand on the top of the pump as a means to hold it steady and as a block to movement should there be a slip. In Illustration 7 the palm of my dominate hand holds the pump block in place.

Hand and arm position for actual pumping:

If I ever want to feel old, fat, wrinkled and hairy take a picture of myself with my pants down.

My dominant hand is my right hand. Using my non-dominate hand I fold the skin of my scrotum around the pump as I grasp the pump as described above. I have found it best that I place my right (dominate) arm on the left side of my penis in order to better make the 90 degree approach to the grasping hand.

This has worked well for me as I hope it would work for you.

All the best

Thanks Gene, I’m going to try that approach as sometimes my arthritis flares making my dominant hand seem like I’m not getting a full pump.

I do wish I had PM’d you I had lots of questions when I found out I had the CX all my research was with the LGX and Titan. Any way I had my I mplant done just down the street from where you had yours at the VA medical center

Thank for your input

Thanks Quester, You probably went to Dr Brandt. My favorite surgical nurse is there Mariah. Say hello for me if you see her. Please PM me with any questions. I wonder if we could organize a dinner locally in SLC for IPP brotherhood and wives and those thinking of an IPP. We could swap stories compare notes and help each other. Just a crazy thought.

Since you have addressed the issue of pumping the implant, I take the opportunity to ask a question that I have been thinking about for some time.

What will be the best position to proceed with filling the implant?
Will it be better lying down, or standing up?

I question this because, lying down, I am led to think that the fluid inside the reservoir, due to gravity, can escape to the top of the reservoir or it can be at a lower level than the hole where the tube that goes up to
the bomb.
In that case, logic tells me that it will not be possible to pump all the fluid into the cylinders.
On the contrary, if you pump it upright, the fluid goes all the way to the base of the reservoir, where I assume everything is connected, and it will be possible to pump all the fluid into the cylinders.

I would like to hear your views on this issue.

Sorry for my English.

The reservoir should not have any air inside it, much like a tube of toothpaste. The reservoir should collapse as the fluid is removed. I understand your confusion as I have seen doctors video demonstrating the implant with air in the reservoir. If installed properly It shouldn't matter what the orientation is (standing or laying down).

The AMS patent liaison told me that the reservoir of their implants is air permeable because it's impossible to completely bleed off all air when prepping an implant to be installed. Over months any air that makes it's way into the reservoir from the system will eventually bleed out into the body cavity and will be absorbed by the body.

I’ve pumped up mine laying down, standing, sitting. I’d say it makes no difference other than comfortable

Yes Gene it was Dr Brandt, I’ve mentioned to the urology clinic that if there are patients that have questions I’m available. So a group dinner with partners isn’t such a crazy thought.
