This seems to be A large scale study for penile shaft lengthening. More than 400 patients were operated and no glan narcosis was observed. Excited..

I'll be damned! (figuratively speaking)...
I just literally had a similar idea not more than a week ago while reading the recent thread about the Serbian surgeon using the sliding procedure... I was pondering about using an approach that would perforate the tunica similar to a stretched steel grid or as mentioned in the article - a wine bottle net... I had no idea that this concept has been in play for the last four years and being perfected.
Still, would I undergo such a procedure? Very, very unlikely due to still not being comfortable with the potential risks vs. benefits.

Look up "expanded steel mesh". Is that something like you mentioned?

Something similar is used to graft skin to burn patients. The donor skin is perforated in a pattern. This allows it to be stretched over the burn area. The small "holes" in the donor skin will heal over a small spot. Not a large area. Makes the donor skin go farther.

Yes, "expanded steel mesh". That's the name I was looking for and that was my exact idea (four years after it was already published!)

This looks interesting but tell me what happens to the glans? That is obviously cut to allow this lengthening. I would be very wary to do that..
also does this procedure increase Both length and girth??

No idea what happens to the glans. Yes, this surgery can increase both length and girth because they make both horizontal and vertical incisions. But we lack first-hand accounts of these surgeries.

I would be very concerned about weakening (and thus courting a rupture) of the tunica.

You are right. But look from the perspective of people who have got just 4 inch penis because of scar tissues. For them this procedure gives a hope that they can get it up to 5”.
