Implanted guys who still had some erections

Hello guys. As you know, i'm strongly considering an implant (i'll meet a doctor the day after tomorrow to have a first consultation - i'll ask for many to choose the right doctor).

I got Peyronie and since then i have no morning woods and no spontaneous erections anymore, but i can still achieve erections, even without PDE5i, by stimulating (or being stimulated) constantly. Obviously this brings me a lot of distress. Situation improves a lil bit with Viagra/cialis but i'm only 26 and with time they are losing effect, probably because Peyronie's is progressing. But the biggest issue even with Viagra is that i can't mantain the erection, if im not CONSTANTLY stimulated, especially by hand.

Now.. You can understand that the choise to undergo the surgery for me is really hard since "i have something to lose".

To the guys who underwent the implant surgery while still having some erections (at least achieving them), i want to ask:

Are you happy with your choice? How did your life change? Would you do that again?

i was achieving erections through trimix injections, which worked.
But my implant is incredible, ready whenever or wherever I may be. I can vary my hardness, and can be up as long as I want.
It is the best thing to happen to my wife and I in a long time.
If you can achieve erection but can't use it for intercourse, then what good is it??

I have had my implant for 14.5 months (10/28/2019) and I still get "SEMI-Erections" and they are anything but "bloodless". My entire dick gets hot and plump. It's not stiff enough for penetration but definitely can help in masturbation efforts. I always know when I'm getting an "erection" because it becomes very chubby, hot and I feel pressure in my crus when I press it either left or right.

Maybe I'm an unusual case, maybe I'm not but I can say that I get the feelings of erection even though it may not be usable for intercourse, and with the rise in temperature from "COLD" to "HOT" that takes place in literally less than a minute when I get aroused, it is anything but bloodless.

I am not your age I am 56, so maybe some young guys will chime in. Implant was a Titan back in August and what I get is that a tingle aroused feeling but of course I have to pump to get erect. I typically pre pump 20% then when the action gets going and then add pumps as we go to 100%.Once pumped up it's on 15 minutes or 2 hours it's on as long as she/we want it. So I get plump feeling but not a useable erection.

Oh hell, I was able to get an erection the entire time I had ED.

What I couldn’t do was maintain one. I typically take a while to climax. There was no way that was going to happen in the 30-45 seconds that a good erection would last.

Even total stimulation would only work so well. My wife never said as much but sex with me had to be a lot like getting mugged. I would achieve an erection, pound the rock furiously in a (usually pointless) effort to keep it, and end up frustrated with a frustrated wife.

Pills and shots helped, but ultimately failed to solve the problem. As an example, I am the bloood donor center dream. I go every 4-6 weeks and donate. I’m easy to stick, and my veins are like a superhighway. I have filled a bag in 3 1/2 minutes. It has never taken more than 7. My erectile capabilities now allow me to do things in bed I could never do when I was fighting a losing battle with venous leakage. I don’t gave to go into a trance and thrust at 1000 rpm to maintain an erection. I can tease, poke, probe, rub, and all that other stuff you see in porn movies.

Only regret is waiting so long to have it done.

Same here implant1959. Sounds like my own experience. Best decision I've made in a long long time. We are loving it.

I really appreciate your advice, I know you cannot feel what I feel with a chronic ED at this age but it gives me a lot of hope, although every day I want to die seeing people who are happy with an implant makes me think twice ... . thank you very much

Am I happy with my choice... Yes I am. I had an active sex life before implant. Problem was there was always stress, the quality was not what it should be, and sometimes I just flat out failed.
Just like you, I needed stimulation. Constantly. Even when masturbating, If I let go for 10 seconds, my dick would go down. And it always seemed harder to get back to a decent erection again after it went down.
But I had sex as often as my travelling allowed. Normally 2-3 times per week.
As said, I am glad I had the implant.
But if it is right for you depends on you.
I don't think an implant is right for everyone. There are probably people out there who would feel better with a half-ass natural dick than an implant.
And some would kill themselves over a half-ass natural dick and be much better off with an implant.
Then there surely are those who would hate both, and think that anything else than a perfect natural dick is crap.

I am not the person who digs myself down a hole. I don't think I could ever be depressed.
I was getting on with my life despite my ED issues. It felt like shit every time my dick went down like a flat tire and my wife had to suck me forever to get it up again, and then we had 3 seconds to get that semi into her pussy. Once in there, I had to fuck like a maniac to keep it up. Not the greatest lover. And not the greatest feeling.
But I didn't bury myself, I didn't let this drag my whole life down.
Sure, it sucked and sometimes it made me feel pretty pathetic, but life is - believe it or not - not only sex. I am (very?) successful in most (all?) other areas in life, and I just wasn't (still ain't) the person who would look at 10 factors, nine being great one being crap, and say the sum of that is crap.

However, what I noticed was that my ED started to slowly get worse, and it also started to affect me more. As I have written in My Journal (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6010), this was partly due to the fact that I forced my wife to compare me to other men she had been with (My 34 months update on this page tells the story: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6010&p=94248&hilit=not+even+once#p94248). Her answer hit me brutally hard, and I realized perhaps for the first time how bad things were, and from then on I had to take action.

So my recommendation to others is not necessarily the same as the answer to whether I am happy or not, whether I would do it again.
It depends on you.

How badly does this affect you?
How bad is your sex life?
How important is it to you?
Will you be ok with an implant?
I am 100% sure there are people out there who are not happy with their implants either. Even if it technically works fine, there must be people out there thinking they turned into some kind of freak, people who are ashamed of their new dick, who think it is just as awkward to bring out their implanted dick as it was to see there natural dick go down in front of their partner.
Obviously that is not the normal case, but I am sure it happens.

Important in order to avoid that is to walk in to this with the right expectations.
An implant is a prosthesis. It is a surgical fix to a physical handicap.
It is not restoring what you had, and definitely not improving what a natural dick is.
It is a surgical fix to a handicap.
And rarey (ever?) does a prosthesis get you better than what a well functioning natural body part is.

What you will get is a dick that you can make hard any time, anywhere.
But it may not look and feel exactly like it used to.
And you need to pump it up.
You have to get used to that idea, and you have to accept it.
Your partners will sooner or later find out. You have to accept it.

But for me, the ultimate decision came from knowing that what I had was not good enough.
I was prepared to risk what I had.
I didn't know what I would get.
I honestly thought my results would be far worse than what I ended up with.
But I was prepared to go on anyway, because I just couldn't keep going on with what I had.
And once you have reached that stage and that understanding, once you have accepted your faith and you are prepared to take the risk, then there is no other way.

Get an implant only after all methods fail is my opinion. You never know what research will bring in the future.
