Welcome to the forum, Corey212.
Thanks for trusting us with your questions.
What manufacturer and model implant do you have? There are three entry points for the surgery. Was your surgery through the scrotum, above the penis (through the pubic pad) or sub-coronal (just behind the glans)? It makes a difference in how painful the recovery is. Each has advantages and disadvantages.

I think you may need to read more. The great preponderance of surgeons leave their patients partially inflated. There is a balance between inflating the implant in the penis or inflating the reservoir in your abdomen. The surgeon has to choose one or the other. After the surgery, scar tissue will begin forming (even as the surgeon is closing the surgical incisions). You don't want either the inflatable tubes being constricted inside scar tissue (making it difficult to inflate to an erection) nor the reservoir constricted inside scar tissues (making it difficult to deflate to flaccid). Do a search in the forum and on the internet for "The Coffin Effect". Also known as psuedo-encapsulation.
Early activation has GREAT advantages for erection size and comfort over time. But the long-term benefits come at a cost of discomfort/pain in the short term.

If you call the airport or airlines, most will arrange for a wheelchair if you tell them it is medically necessary. That may make enduring the airport (waiting area and between connecting flights, etc) a bit easier and also make concealing your erection easier. You should not have to reveal the details of your surgery. Privacy issues.

My penis looked like a road-killed toad for more than a week. Black and blue and yellow and misshapen with uneven swelling. Scrotum half-black and the size of a softball/grapefruit.
Stay laying down as much as you can. It will speed your recovery, reduce swelling and discomfort.
