I developed ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004 and was underwent the Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure
in December 2007. Thankfully, this completely corrected my ED.
I have been a Patient Educator for Coloplast since January 2008 and share my experiences with men currently suffering with ED and its many side-effects.

Yes. I had Rp surgery 10 months ago and pos considering implant. My doc is Russell Locke in Ocala, Fl. He was recommended to me by head of urology at Moffitt in Tampa I have had good results with Dr Locke. He does implants. Worth checking out. Good luck...Lemonhead

Grew up in Lakeland, FL went to school at Univ. South Florida (pre their having a medical school or football team). I am not that familiar with the doctors there anymore, i am now in TN. Do know that Watson Clinic in Lakeland has a good reputation for many things, they might be worth a check.

If I remember correctly, USF has a very good geriatrics reputation, I don't know if that would carry into ED or not.

We all know the general questions to ask but it would help if there was a surgeon list. There needs to at least be a section giving guidance on choosing a surgeon with more than those general questions. Having an electrician ask a surgeon how many implants he does does not give much to go on. Needless to say, we have one penis. It only takes one wrong choice to lose big time. Also, one success story does not make a good surgeon.

Any ideas on such a topic ?

rodend...the list of surgeons contains the name of Dr.Paul Jo, my urologist and surgeon. I would ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend Dr. Jo...I consider that he saved my life and my sanity!!! Dr.Jo implanted the Coloplast Titan OTR in me on August 6th. and I am now enjoying the FULL benefits of sex with my wife that I had completely lost due to ED....Dr. Jo also did the prostate cancer surgery on me. I am 78 years old and that was my FIRST experience with surgery and being in a hospital for one night. Dr.Jo is located right here in Ocala, Florida...a couple of hours north of you and he and his staff are super professional and caring.
