Hey.
Like the title of the topic say, im lost.
AMS Boston implanted on 19th January of this year. Im 23 years old. I did my operation in Brussel in Erasme hospital by the professor Roumeguerre Thierry.
I dont have any pics or videos before the pp, and i regret that i didnt do that because there is the problem:
Before the operation my penis size could reach 17cm (the max. i could mesure)
Now, it is around 11 (when not excited) and 12/13 cm when inflated.
The doctor says, before the operation, that i can loose maximum 2cm. So i was ready to have something like 15cm, not less.
But please, take a look of my photos. As you can see, you have 1 picture when deflated (size 10cm),and 2 when it is inflated without excitation (you can see how much skin i have even if im circumcised. And a Last photo when im inflated with excitation (+ cialis).
On the Last photo, in situation of excitation, you can see its bigger from the middle of the penis down to the glans (My penis was very straight before the operation. I didn't have this before.) And it hurts a little bit
And in the previous photos you can see that the glans is totally soft without any excitement or the use of pills. As you can see in the picture with the drawings in red, there stop the cylinders which inflate.
Im back from a specialist urologist other than the one who operated on me to get an opinion.
I'm disappointed with his lack of communication, but that's just a detail. I explained my problem to him and he replied "it's possible". He tells me that the prosthesis is working well and that I have my total and normal erection.
Do your erections look like what you see in my photos above? Seriously.
I said that i went from 17 to 12 cm and asked if this is normal. He answered: "probably".
Im almost 8 weeks post-op and didnt see any changes. I have started cycling almost 1 week ago.

NOT INFLATED (9/10cm)
INFLATED (12/13cm MAXIMUM)
As you can see, the curve is really bad. It looks like there is no erection. The cylinders stop there:
Excited (with cialis, can't do more)

It might be helpful to know what size (length) of AMS device was implanted, how many Rear Tip Exenders (RTE) if any per side and whether it was the CX or the LGX models.

I know nothing about that. The only thing the doctor say is : AMS Boston 3 pieces.
I really dont know about the size or anything. I will ask but, can i ask what is the difference ?

Re: Im lost.. (photos of my P.)
In my opinion you are way too early to be measuring your size. Many men report that they continue to grow up to a year after surgery. Your penis retracts in responce to the trauma of the surgery plus your pubic pad swells to make it look even shorter.
Looking at your length this early is just going to cause you mental anguish.

With the knowledge of cylinder length and RTE size and quantity, one could make an educated guess based on your currently stated size on whether you were obviously undersized. My guess is that you weren't undersized and it's just too early in your implant journey to see the results you're expecting.
Two very important mantras with IPP implants: "CYCLE, CYCLE, CYCLE" and "PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE".
CYCLE: inflate the implant until you feel pain start - keep the inflation for some period of time (some do it an hour) then release. More frequent cycling will mean more stretching of the tissues and more likelihood of regaining some length. Doing so may likely even improve the downward curve you note in one of your photos. This is possibly due to the implant not getting fully inflated yet, although other reasons can't be discounted.
PATIENCE: Over weeks, months and in some cases YEAR(s), you should see improvement in the length, girth and feel of your penis when inflated. It takes time and it doesn't happen overnight for most guys. It will require cycling though, along with patience to see any gains.

Okay. Thank you very much, I will focus on cycling. It is true that I have little patience and I will work on it.
In the meantime I will still consult to make sure that everything is fine, it is true that I am of a nature not to trust too much, especially when it comes to this part of the body. Hahaahah
Thank you very much for your message

One person does not a dataset make. But let me share my experience.
When I took the bandage off and took a shower for first time, the area right behind my dick, on the topside (where you take a bone pressed measurement) was swollen and bruised all to hell. I gave a very hard bulb a few squeezes that I’m assuming put some fluid in the cylinders. I laid a ruler alongside it. 4 inches. Granted, it was a hard 4” but I’m thinking “WTF?”
As the swelling went down more and more dick showed up. After a month or so, I’m seeing 5”, maybe a bit more. I complain to Doc. He wants to know why I’m not cycling multiple times a day.
At 6 months or so I’m borderline 6”. The pubic bone area is back to its normal self. When I remind the doctor he said I might lose half an inch, maybe none at all.....he wants to know how many times I’m squeezing bulb. He tells me to pump it until I just can’t feel the sides of the squeeze bulb move at all. At times this meant I was squeezing it 60....70 pumps.
This was never painful, but yeah, I could feel some stretch. So I did as I was told.
After a year I think I’m still seeing some gain, albeit very small and very slowly. I too started at 17 cm (6.8 in x 6.0 in). What I really have, comparing apples to apples (measuring same way with same tape even) is 16 cm.....6.3” long and roughly 5.5 girth.
My wife has never been one to really stare at or worship my cock but she did tell me, out of the blue one night, that it looks the same now as it always did.
I know it’s tough to be patient. But truthfully, you don’t have an option. I was skeptical about cycling but now I’m a true believer.
As far as your device goes, your doctor should have given you an owners manual and a card. On the card it has the model, size, and RTEs used during the implant. When I got in the car to go home, I looked at it to make sure he hadn’t put something small. I saw the “18” and thought “damn, I wanted 21” but the 5 cm in RTEs made me feel better.
Good luck

Re: Im lost.. (photos of my P.)
You can email Jamie Matson at Boston Scientific for the details of your implant.
Also, there's no way a loss of 2" in length is in any way normal unless you had severe Peyronies or some kind of other issue. I refuse to believe that 2" could be gained over time. I hope I'm wrong with that, but my sample size is 1 and I lost nothing the first time I inflated.
Sometimes we have to face the fact that we had a crappy surgeon.
Sorry to be such a downer, and I hope things work out for you.
