Greetings from a newcomer. I am scheduled for IPP surgery in Nashville with Dr. Dean Knoll on April 7, 2021. Since discovering franktalk early Feb 2021, I have been inhaling information from anywhere and everywhere including Youtube videos showing surgeries.
In terms of my history, I developed PD in early 2018, eventually leading to an upward curve of 70° (Photo 1). My local urologist first recommended a vitamin regimen, which totally did nothing. Then he suggested seeing Dr. Knoll. After a couple of meetings and VED usage (that also did nothing), I scheduled excision and grafting surgery for Sep 2019. Recovery included continual VED therapy, daily Cialis, and eventually adding Viagra. The major curve was successfully corrected, but I developed hinging and additional curvatures in different places. These deformities are shown in Photo 2. Other problems have been the inability to reach “rock hardness” during intercourse, and absolutely no effect from the drugs. I have literally had to manually stuff the little guy into my wife, and the only workable position has been rear entry (vaginally) with both of us on our sides. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't.
This brings me back to 2021, when I began to think about an implant, followed up with all the research I could do. Now it’s going to happen.
Not at all sure if PD surgery affected my length, but my wife thinks I am shorter. Based on a post or two here, I decided to take some measurements before getting an implant. Based on what I understand is common practice, I pressed my fingers tightly against my pubic bone and measured length from there. Flaccid is 4” long with 4” girth. (Photo 3). Erect is 5 ¾” long with 5” girth (Photo 2). I will re-measure afterwards to see if I can notice any change.
Thanks, all, for your posts and information. My final meeting with my doctor is on Mar 30 to discuss my care using questions prompted by this board. The meeting was at my request to increase my understanding of his technique and recovery instructions. After all, I am a major player in his care team.
I am now committed to joining the brotherhood and will be posting my results soon.

Re: Joining the Brotherhood
Best wishes for you on the journey. And welcome to the brotherhood soon.
I've talked with a number of guys here with PD, and they have been helped with an IPP. For me, it wasn't PD, just no erections. If you have questions or concerns, let us know.
Quincy.

Hey LUp, now that you're more than a month out of surgery how is your penis looking? Also, what made you want to switch from injections and move on to the implant? I'm close to your age and injecting currently but it sucks... Painful and annoying to have to carry around and take the time away to inject and whatnot. However I do respond to the injections still, although they are painful and cause my dick to ache. Thinking about the implant because of all this.
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side
