Almost 6 years now an aneurysm - revision time

Well, it has been a while since I last posted. Six years ago this month I had a very successful implant done. In a very short time after surgery, I had no pain and was able to use my implant for intercourse way before the typical patient so was very blessed compared to some others I have heard here. I had some issues with my glans not expanding and tried trimix gel but that eventually fixed itself. All was good until last weekend after my wife was on top and I noticed some discomfort at the base of my penis but not enough to stop as it was just an ache. When I remembered that this week I inflated and discovered a bulge on the left side at the base of my penis only when almost maximally inflated. I emailed Dr. Kramer who did the implant 6 years ago and in usual Dr. Kramer style, he very quickly responded and feels, like I do, that I have an aneurysm in the left cylinder. The implant still works but he said if I continue to use it will likely get bigger and leak at some point. I am healthy and insured at this point so rather than wait until I develop a complicating medical condition will be scheduling a revision with him in the next month or so. He feels that the revision should be useable in a week or so and not as much discomfort as implant number one which really wasn't that bad other than night one and the subsequent 10-hour car ride. Not something I wanted to have happen but I have used the implant a lot so like everything mechanical they do wear out. I had asked him about replacing it with a Titan but in that going with a replacement with the same type AMS CX he can implant without replacing the reservoir, I am going to go with the same AMS CX implant. I will fill you all in on how that goes. I am hoping that the increased risk of infection with replacements is related to replacements often being done as a result of infection rather than replacement causing infection. Cross your fingers and send prayers my way if you are so inclined. Still very happy with my decision to do it and the surgeon I chose as the last six years have been stress-free when it comes to having a consistent erect penis when I needed one. Started taking it for granted.

The good part of it is the timing. When your doctor (Kramer) is back to work. If this happened a year ago, with the Covid, it would be really frustrating.

As far as I know 6 years is way below the average life expectancy of an implant:
May I ask you more or less how many times a week did you use it?

Is there anything you think we can learn from this in regards to aneurysms and women on top position? Was your wife riding pretty rough or is her weight a potential variable that could contribute? Any other possibilities?

Not sure why it happened other than stuff happens. Typically used 2-3 times a week. It is a 21 cm with a 1cm tip extender with more length outside than some from this forum so maybe gave it more leverage on th pivot area next to my body. Wife is 120 pounds so not heavy and we are in our 60's so not crazy sex but was one of the more physical times.

Used pretty consistently 2-3 times a week for 6 years.
