What happens if I don’t pump or use my tool for over a month?

I was heavily preoccupied and professionally stressed for the last whole month. Resultantly, pumping it or thought of using it was the last thing on my mind. Yesterday When I pumped it, felt a bit wired and unfamiliar. Does pumping everyday ensures longevity of your implant or is it the opposite? I am 8 months post op and recovered my size largely, so for sizing recovery I don’t intend to pump everyday. How often I must pump to ensure my tool doesn’t fool me :D ? Thanks

I got my Titan in 2008 but due to health reasons never used it. I did inflate it occasionally just to keep things working. It went uninflated for months at a time with no apparent ill effects. It did finally quit working, after about 12 years, but since it was never used it really didn't matter. So I wouldn't worry too much about not inflating it for a long period.

I would do my best to pump everyday, as usually recommended. Some ideas: 1. inflate before showering, deflate after, 2. make inflation/deflation part of your bedtime routine. 3. Inflate/Deflate while watching TV(wear sweat pants and a blanket and you can be very discreet.)
I think that routine inflation/deflation helps prevent "Sticky Valve Syndrome", and also help maintain your size.

First and foremost, follow your surgeon's instructions regarding frequency and other factors about cycling. According to my surgeon, with my LGX, maximum length would be achieved when cycling to maximum no longer causes pain or discomfort. Up until that point, he instructed me to cycle daily for one hour, which I did religiously. I reached the stage when I pumped to max without pain or discomfort at about 10 months post-op. Since then, he merely "suggests" that I pump "a couple of times a week" and for just one half hour each time.
Once maximum length is achieved, you should not lose any length if you don't cycle. However, as other FT members have said, it is a good idea to cycle occasionally to keep the system operating effectively.

Thanks dg. You seem to have a slightly different view on this compared to other mates. I will probably not discontinue cycling like I did in the past. Take care

I do think you can over pump and cycle. I did so in my 1st implant that lasted 13 months. I am just 2 weeks post op. I can inflate and deflate. Dr had me inflate in the hospital. I had a better angle then she did. I also spent a year with implant 1. Pain is not the same as 1st implant. I only tried a squeeze to make sure it still works. Incan deflate in the shower. Next follow up is 5/20 for activation. Well that’s a joke 2nd time around. I know some surgeons allow cycling a few days post op. I am still to nervous to try it. I really think my 1st Titan failed because of a tubing in my groin. When inflated. I could feel a loop. Complained to Dr numerous times. After a long sex session with current partner it broke the next day. Tube in groin disappeared. Had revision 1 2 weeks latter.
