Im 48 hours out of surgery and im having to take a percocet every 4 hours or it gets pretty painful,
Every other surgery in my life ive been able to get away with no painkillers/very low dosages. What sort of dosages did you guys have to take? Im really scared of becoming addicted.
Thanks so much guys.

Everyone is different. However, 2-3 days is what Dr. Eids post op instructions say. Be careful though, they made me dizzy so I switched to Tylenol. Keep icing!

Dang you guys manage the pain so much better than me. So weird i usually have a duper high pain tolerance.
Where am i supposed to put the ice? Am i supposed to take the jockstrap off and put the ice on? Because i cant even feel the ice ontop of the jockstrap.

I am 2.5 weeks out and I still have pain in my balls mostly. Occasionally, I get a sting sensation on my frenulum. I still taking GABA, Tramadol, and Tylenol.

Starting day of surgery I was taking Ibuprofen every 6 hours around the clock, with an occasional hydrocodone. After the first couple of days it was just the ibuprofen. Like someone else said keep icing, keep flat and don't do too much. My biggest issue was itching from the bruising, it was unbearable at times,
It will get better and you have a lot to look forward to.

I was given Tramadol but found that most pain relievers including Tramadol have little if any affect on my pain. I tried several Tramadol over the course of my healing but ultimately I found that overdosing on ICE application was my best pain killer. I'm not advocating that anyone overuse icing but in my case I used the soft fabric disposable ice bags like the ones they gave me at the hospital, continually for 2-3 days when possible. I refilled them with fresh ice and a little water each time I'd find the ice had melted. I refilled the bag with ice each night, probably every 3 hours until the pain was bearable enough.
So as far as pain relievers, 660mg of Aleve did very little, and 50mg of Tramadol did nothing. In fact, I still have 11 Tramadol left of the 20 I received on 10/29/2019, and I've taken the odd one several times since I fully healed for other pains, again with no effect.

I put the ice on TOP of the jockstrap. I can’t imagine any other way. Can’t stress enough the importance of icing. I was icing the whole time in the recovery suite (2+ hours) and most of the next three days. I had zero swelling in my testicles (dull ache but no pain), and minor swelling of the shaft.
I don’t think I have a high pain tolerance, I almost cried during the cystoscopy
