Rigidity/hardness question - Going on 2 months post op

Hey guys,
Implanted back in April. Cleared for sex, cleared for cycling, good to go all the way around...
However, I seem to be having a hard time reaching the point where my implant gets pumped enough to be completely rigid. In fact, I’m nit as hard as I was able to temporarily get pre-op and I pump to the point where the bulb is too firm to pump any more.
Is this something that gets better with time?
Also, I know people mean well, but stop replying with just saying “ask your doctor” over and over.

The AMS implants are known to have less rigidity than the Coloplast Titan, especially at longer length models of AMS. Since you have a very large 24cm model I'd guess that's what's happening here.

sorry wolfpacer ill call bullshit on that they all are so hard pound through cement seems like guys that have titans have this perception they get harder all bullshit AMS gets just as hard sounds like hes just not getting the bulb to soften up yet tough material takes time and patients just been out 3 moths and most that time is healing ...willy be patient takes time keep cycling wait a while pump a little more and so on takes a while

My LGX which is said to be softest of the implants was always harder than I was even in my healthy youth. Have you tried to add more pumps or even partial pumps after 5 minutes or so? Do you feel any stretching? Have you tried using both hand with both thumbs and fingers on the bulb? Have you tried adding heat?
You might also call the AMS customer rep to see they have some helpful information. Best of luck going forward with this.

This study was authored by Dr Hakky and a few others, and they prove that the AMS implants are significantly less rigid than the Coloplast Titan

If they're so inferior. Does the study explain why AMS's market share is so much higher than Coloplast? Btw, he has a CX which is supposed to be slightly stiffer than the LGX line.
I agree, he needs more time before proclaiming its too soft. We see this gradual improvement in implant satisfaction almost weekly.

I was implanted Feb 18 this year also with an AMS cx, albeit at 18cm, shorter than yours. But I can get as stiff as a steel pipe. My advice for what it's worth, is to keep cycling, twice maybe three times a day. I would guess it will improve rather quickly.

One big reason for the AMS market share being larger is that they have the US government contract to provide implants for military hospitals, the VA, etc. As my fellow military guys here know, federal contracts typically go to the lowest bidder which in this case is AMS.
There's a reason that Dr Eid, probably the #1 implant surgeon in the world, prefers to only use the Coloplast Titan.

Willy,
My AMS 700 CX 21cm + 1.5 cm RTE Has same hardness as my Titan had.
No difference at all.
Only difference that I appreciate is that AMS CX is much more comfortable
When it is not inflated and gives me nice flaccid look and length.
My CX gave me larger flaccid the what I had with Titan and difference is more then 1 inch.
You might still have very hard pump but it will soften after you start inflating daily

I have to throw the b/s flag on that. I spent 42 years working for uncle. I never had trouble buying the supplies that I needed for my job. Price was never an issue in ordering what was needed.
I would propose that AMS through their two models fit a higher portion of average men. Maybe not the best fit for the super endowed. But the Titan doesn't appear to be ideal for the less endowed amonst us.
I would further suggest that Eid prefers Titans because he has figured out how to trim them for length in order to get a better length fit. I'm not sold on the idea that the Titan is automatically the best implant just because one doctor takes the time & has the skill to get a world class fit that other doctors don't appear to consistantly get. Eid is the key in this equation in my opinion more that the implant brand. When Eid retires a ton of skill & caring will go with him.
