Finally had my surgery June 2nd with Dr. Jonathan Clavell

Hey guys.. I've been a guest lurker for a couple of years when I first discovered trimix by going to The Men's Clinic (wish I had not discovered it). Started out using Cialis for a few years off and on, the on to trimix until the injection caused injury to my tissues after about one year of use. Over the course of the next 9 or 10 months or so, I tried everything I heard about to try and improve my condition. Nothing worked, so I consulted with Dr. Jonathan Clavell here in Houston, which is where I live, and I'm glad he practices here because I really didn't want to travel.

After getting approval, I finally had it done on June 2nd, 2021. Was admitted and taken to surgery early that morning and next thing I remember was waking up in the worst pain ever. He spoke with me afterwards and said that he thought is was a successful procedure. Was given instructions to stay partially inflated for about 6 weeks, then return for a follow up to learn how to cycle. Since that day, its been mostly managing the pains, which have been pretty uncomfortable. Peeing was definitely bad for about 5 days and is improving more today (day 6). I' was told to wear cycling shorts to keep it pointed upwards to help with shaping and molding towards a more upward curvature ( I had a downward curve prior to surgery). It is some work involved, but so far I'm glad I took the step. I was implanted with a 24 cm Titan. Dr. Clavell has very good bedside manners. He explained things well and is available post surgery. He called me the following day after surgery to check on me and I thought that was very good of him. He has YouTube videos which I looked at to help with my decision to go with him for my surgery.

Darnell 18,
My fellow houstonian, I had implant revision 6 months ago (12.2.20) with Dr Clavell and I could not be happier.
He is very talented surgeon and has excellent personality and bedside manners. He is very caring doc and always available.
I was amazed how promptly he answers all emails I sent.

Welcome to the other side!

I was implanted 4 weeks ago with Dr. Clavell. Best decision ever! He is the best in town. I had my follow up on the 7th. Still a little tender but so far I am happy with the results!

On what day does he typically have you start to cycle?

For me, it was day 27. He has a 6 week post-op appointment scheduled but depending on how the healing is going, he will see patients early to begin cycling.

Hey fellow Houstonians! I'm in the healing phase now completing my first week. Question for you guys or anyone who reads and has input. I still have some slight downward curvature from scar tissue bands that were running the full length of my penis on both sides. Doc told me that the implant is stronger than my remaining scar tissue. Does anyone know if the implant will eventually stretch the scar tissue to a full straight penis over time? It's partially pumped up now and I was wondering through experience how long does it take to stretch it to a full straight position? Thanks for insight!

Yes, it will stretch with time.

With the approval of your surgeon, straightening can be sped up by "modelling" (inflate the prosthesis and manually bend the penis to -or just a bit past - straight).

One description I found on the internet is this

The goal is to gradually create bending opposite to the patient's penile curvature, with stretching to the point of moderate resistance. Hold pressure for 30 seconds, then release. After a 30 second rest period, repeat the modeling attempts at 30 seconds for each attempt.

I did a web search on the phrase "Modelling for Peyronie's"

Ok, Thanks for the info on Modelling. I will keep this in mind when its time to start cycling. Definitely want a straight penis asap.

My doctor showed me how to start modeling to correct what remains of my Peyronie's curve the days he cleared me to start cycling. He said it did take some time, but would make a huge difference. Hope so.
