Erection at night

I barely can remember when during the night time sleep I had a good erection.
Last night I had a dream that I am just off the surgery room after getting an implant. The implant was left pumped so I could feel a very but very strong erection... So strong that I woke up and found out that I did have a very good boner.
It is like my dick is sending me messages - do not put me under the knife, I'll be good
Now I am doubts... maybe it is not as worthless as I used to think about it
Should I give him a second chance

Danny...I'm having the implant surgery next Monday.....it's been 16 months since the prostate cancer surgery and in those 16 months I have had possibly 4 nighttime erections. Each time I did I had the same question that you are having ( should I just wait it out and hope for a dependable erection when I wanted it)....after only 4 in 16 months I made the decision to go ahead and schedule the implant because I want to be able to use it whenever it is called for and that will be a heck of a lot more than once every 4 months!!!I know there will be some early days of being uncomfortable with the new" bionic thruster"but the years of great sex and bonding with my wife ahead make it absolutely the thing to do!

Your mind is the greatest sex organ ... having a occasional night time erection is just that ... now try doing that in the daytime when needed ... doesn't really happen right?
For me the pills, injections and the many disappointments really start to drag on you (and your partner) I didn't want to be one of those "
I wish I hadn't waited so long" ... so I took the plunge 6 weeks ago, and I'm glad I did.

I am on the peaks-and-valleys mood regarding the implant. At some point time I want it NOW. And sometimes when I manage to give a great satisfaction to my wife I think may be it is not that bad...
If it was a lifetime device I wouldn't hesitate. But experiencing shortening after each revision is the major barrier to the decision.

danny1553,
I understand your concerns ... if the other options (pills, VED, injections) are proving successful, then an Implant may not be the right choice ... at this time.
As for "lifetime device" my URO stated that the newer models should last my lifetime ... revisions are rare ... when properly installed. "Shortening" occurs but is better than a non-working member ...

Danny - shortening is minor. In my case, I'm back to 7", the best I ever was. This is 16 months after surgery, and I try to pump fully several times a week, that is a key with the LGX.
The second consideration is that the implant feels bigger than it looks. Meaning, a normal penis will yield some length and width under pressure, the pressure of being inserted into another body. Push on a rope and you'll get what I mean. Very few men ever have erections as rigid as the implant. Put you hand on the head of an erect penis and push, I'll bet it doesn't take much force to make it get shorter. And, generally, the girth increases with an implant. I know one thing, my wife tells me I'm bigger to her than I've ever been, including 40 years ago, and more recently when using other methods of getting an erection. Put those concerns aside. They really aren't worth worrying about if your doc does his job well. Mine did.
