Pain question.. please help

Hey Guys.

I'm on day 7 since my surgery. Was done with Eid so he has you cycle starting on day 3. Everything appears to be going fine but I'm concerned about my pain level. I can only feel comfortable or pain free if using a heating pad or in a hot bath. All other times I have an aching pain at the base of my penis. I can feel the pain more prominently if I move it from side to side, and if I stand/walk.. I got 10 mins tops before its unbearable and I have to lay back down. Funny thing is 10 mins of heat and all is well. Does this sound normal? Has anyone else had this experience? I reached out to my Dr but no response yet. Reading updates on guys operated on same time as me but are able to be active is starting to worry me a bit. I still can't walk 10 feet to the bathroom without pain.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Also day 7 with Eid here and I hear you on the pain/discomfort. I feel like if I could find a comfortable way to wear my penis pointed up in a way that it was supported throughout the whole shaft, and wasn't allowed to move from left to right, then the pain would subside. It definitely still hurts a lot when I unzip my pants and reposition my penis in a different direction.

You are doing better than I did at 7 days.

My pain was not intractable, but was there pretty consistent and greater when I got up out of bed.

Side note: The fact you get relief with heat might have been useful for me.

I had the same idea.. Started mummy wrapping my shaft with a thick soft hand towel then putting on boxer briefs. I guess trying to recreate the way we were sent home after surgery. It helps slightly but any ease of pain is welcomed. Eid did respond and said its natural as long as I'm seeing improvement. So at least we are not at risk of something serious.

Today is first day back to work to me. I have to say I’m not uncomfortable. I took a couple pain pills this morning and so far I’m ok. Scrotum swelling is down. I guess we all heal at our own level. My dick hurts from partial inflation. Been told to l ave everything alone until MD visit in a week.

Do you think there may be a difference in pain factor doing semi rod vs the pump? I am doing the semi rod on 8 July.

I've read somewhere that the rods are a quicker recovery because it's one less step the doctor has to do. So my guess is yes...should be easier recovery.

Day 6 now, I just took my daughter to an outdoor mall and walked around, carrying her most of the time. Probably about an hour and only slight discomfort. Is you pain at the base on the underside or top? I get a really sharp pain on the underside base, right in my scrotum sometimes when deflated. It hurts enough to almost drop me, like a stabbing pain but always just a few seconds.

I was in in your shoes yesterday. My dick was so uncomfortable anyway I tried to wear it. Last night after showering, I put on a random pair of underwear and holy cow it made all the difference in the world as far as comfort. No idea why these were so much better than any other pair I had been wearing, but its magic. Pointing up in these..here is a pic of them, I'll have to order more. Edit: just did a search and seems like its almost impossible to find them in the size I orderd

I started using David Archy bikini briefs made from Bamboo after implant. Super soft. 3 years later still love the feel.

Absolutely yes.

The pain in my torso (where the reservoir was placed) was excruciating each time I got out of bed. Every tiny move had to be planned and my leg and arm positions made just right to employ leverage to minimize muscle effort of my midsection. (When I lay still, the pain was nil.) The semi-rigid (malleable) implant has no reservoir, so that pain is totally absent.

The pain and swelling in my scrotum was problematic for a time, also. More constant that surrounding the reservoir but easier to manage. Again, the malleable implant has no pump in the scrotum, so pain there is absent.

The penis is accustomed to being beat up occasionally, so I expect the pain of the malleable implant will be a little greater than with an inflatable since the malleable cannot be made smaller. The pressure on the inside of your penis will be constant and similar to a fully inflated inflatable. You will get used to that after a while.

All in all, I expect you will have a constant ache in your penis for a couple weeks, diminishing as the days pass, but none of the scrotal and abdominal pain associated with inflatable implants. So, in my uneducated estimation (I have never had a malleable) probably less than 30% of the total pain a recipient of an inflatable.
