The 2 worst things about having a implant

1.Having to pump the implant really kills the vibe while attempting spontaneous sex.
2.The lack of glan engorgement post surgery makes it challenging to reach climax.
I'm sure other people have their opinions, but these are my complaints post surgery.
On the other side of the pendulum at least you have a working penis

It is what it is. Adapt.
Figure out a way to emulate or simulate the spontaneity so you can enjoy the illusion or perhaps recreate the spontaneity.
One technique is to pump up partially when sex becomes a potential and leave it that way for a while. That will reduce your awareness of the length of time it takes to pump up. If sex does not occur, you just deflate and go on about your business as if nothing happened (or nothing was about to happen).
Make pumping up part of the foreplay. For example, let your partner help with the pumping.

Glans engorgement may return. If it does not, the same treatments (pills, constriction rings, even injections or penile suppositories) that worked to induce erections in men's penises also work to induce engorgement in mens' glandes (yes, "glans" is a singular noun. The plural is "glandes". I have no idea why it is not "glanses".)

Yep. That is the trade we implanted men bargained for. Be happy with your outcome and improve it where you can.

I don't have an implant but I would like to pose a possible solution to the lack of glans engourgement for you implant guys.
At present, when my wife (or even I) give attention to my nipples, my glans swells like the potent virile younger man I was as far as my dick health is concerned.
I am wondering if attention to an implantee's nipples or other erogenous zones (we all could name a few if our wives/partners would just go there) would increase glans size and sensitivity.
For you guys who say their nipples are dead or do nothing for you, it doesn't have to be that way. Mine were unresponsive at one point, but as I aged, playing with them and fondling them creates a direct very pleasurable connection with my prostate and my glans making both of them swell and aroused. It happens pretty quickly that my glans will begin to swell even before a good erection gets going.
So what about nipple play men as a way to increase glans size and sensitivity? Anybody listening out there who may be like me?? An unresponsive glans would be a deal breaker for me not having an implant. My glans is the most enjoyable part of my dick and nipple play has made it so.

I'm just over 3 weeks post op and I wouldn't dream of having sex without using pills (tadalafil, sildenafil). Even just a daily 5mg Cialis helps my glans engorge very nicely. I have no problem accepting the fact that even though I have an implant, I'll still need to use the pills forever.

Great post, Had to give this some thought.
1, I would say the feel of my balls and testicals, they have so many new parts in there and I still have pretty sever fixation (left nut is attached to pump and scrotum is glued to every nook and cranny of the pump and the tubes are hooked to the scrot swell) I miss the reach down and just enjoying the boys for a moment. Now its a lot of hard stuff in there- Hoping it gets better as the fixation improves over time.
2, The arousal port on sexual turn on, even when a hard on eluded me I could still get a good chub going. thats gone except for excellent latin bottom tube response.
My penis feels pretty similar to the old one and my brain has adopted it so my adjustment has been easy for that part. Hoping I can pump tomorrow!!

These for me are the two worst tings(but far far outweighed by the positive)
1. Having to pump it up to be able to have sex can at times feel annoying
2.my balls were always small and sack very tight so the pump in the sack protrudes out some times and would be very noticeable.
But I do have to say because if I was younger again and scared about this whole procedure I would focus on the things that could go wrong or are less then what I want I will say this
These negatives are momentary thoughts, 95+% of the time I CANNOT be more thankful to have a penile implant. It went from a flag blowing in the wind to the pole that the flag is attached to

What I do is pump up a little right before activities begin, and if I get oral, I am pretty much 'there'/
While person is busy down there, I do nothing, and pump more when they are busy elsewhere. I got feedback from a friend that said he could hear the 'wooshing' when I pump.
For me, one of the things I don't like is when I have to haul out my dick to piss at the urinal at work. I don't have the flexibility anymore, so its like the rods have to be manipulated to haul it out.

No one has to even notice you pump. Pump it while you're kissing your partner, or going down on them.
Ask your urologist to prescribe you Trimix GEL for the head. Insert the gel into the urethra and your head will feel as it did before surgery.

But - spontaneous sex for most of us implanted guys has not been truly "spontaneous" for a hell of a long time. It certainly wasn't spontaneous during my 9 years of injecting, nor was it legitimately spontaneous during the preceding 10 years of pills.
As others have said, with a little adaptation the implant is capable of being as close to spontaneous as I've been in over 20 years. A handful of pumps up to maybe 30-40% inflation when you think the situation is percolating, sex is imminent, or when I want to initiate and make it imminent. Then it's just 30-60 seconds more pumping to max. My wife has found ways to make that minute of pumping...entertaining...so it still feels exciting and plenty spontaneous if she's teasing me, shaking her ass, playing with herself while I finish off those few pumps. I don't know. This new version of "spontaneous" has proven pretty awesome. Just my individual experience, obviously.
The glans engorgement...yep...I'm with you. Mine just doesn't engorge. Have tried adding back in the viagra, doesn't work. Unwilling to screw around with any sort of constrictive devices. I know others report some success but I'm leery of damaging the prosthesis that way. My orgasms are also somewhat delayed vs the old days during injecting, but I always dragged it out back then, too, because for me coming has always been very secondary and much less rewarding than just having sex in many ways over longer sessions. To each their own.
On balance...so far...implant has been just awesome in our experience. The tiny concessions are insanely outweighed in our minds by the way this thing goes about its business and does anything we ask of it.
