I'm four weeks post op and doctor said I could start cycling. I am trying for first time and nothing seems to be happening. I can feel the pump and the deflate button. I am pumping and literally, nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Is the pump bulb round or flat?

Is the pump bulb compressing (that is, does it squash like you squished a grape)?

If it does compress, do you feel resistance as it compresses?

It is round just like the sample pump they gave me. Yes it squishes. I don't feel anything at all. No resistance. Nothing.

I know with my pump it takes a lot of pumps to get it up. Keep pumping and se if it responds

Sounds like a valve problem. Valve not closing properly. The usual solution is to cycle the valve several times until it "sets".

The Titan Patient Liaison is probably the best (paid) advisor to ask. The PL is paid by the company to assist patients getting accustomed to their implant and is there to answer questions for free that the patient might have to pay his surgeon for. And the PL is often better-informed about quick fixes to operating the device than the surgeon (who is often better practiced at installing them than in operating them).

If I had a Titan, I could probably suggest how to cycle the valve (to get it "broken in") but I have experience only with the AMS pump.

What version of Titan pump do you have? There are at least two. Genesis and OTR (One Touch Release).

If you don't get an answer quickly (here or from the PL) you might want to try the search function, for the terms "OTR", or "Genesis". This question has come up before (and will again). I know, dragging through the search function is trying on patience, but so is pumping in vain while waiting for a Titan owner or the PL to respond.

I tried just hitting deflate button and squeezing penis to fully deflate. Then attempted to inflate again--Success!! But damn it hurts. Don't think I'll last the recommended 15-20 minutes until doing this for a while. Thanks everyone for your your responses.

I’m having similar pain issues at about 12 weeks after surgery. Pump is very hard to operate and always painful. I can maybe get in 7 deep pumps before the pain from the cylinders becomes unbearable. I also have severe pain in the deflate mode but this is from the soreness of the skin on my scrotum due to the pressure of compression. It’s exceedingly tender and seemingly very thin over the pump as a whole and the deflate button in particular. 10 to 15 minutes inflated is all that I can handle and I don’t believe that I have even managed to get to 50% inflation yet. Thankfully I have a very understanding hot girlfriend but this is getting to be very demoralizing after the high expectations in making the decision to proceed with the surgery. My additional complication is the continuing saga of incontinence even after two surgeries to correct it. Double whammy but at least the cancer appears to be gone so I’m thankful for that.

Which pump is the ones with the bars on it for releasing. I am having a hell of a time deflating as well. Doesn't help with the location if mine and they scarring around at. I feel you about the pain. I get pumped and deflated today but damn my dick is sore.
