Has anyone with an implant used prostate massage to deal with non-bacterial prostatitis? So no discernible infection present here. Also, not primarily looking for pleasure/ejaculation.

There are numerous references in other threads but not on this point. My uro massaged the prostate and it did improve the prostatitis like feel and vaguely indicated that massage is an option when no infection is showing up in the labs. I should have asked her more questions and now I am considering purchasing a vibrating device and doing a self massage. I have had PT for the muscles in the pelvic floor area and do exercises to release the tension in the pelvic floor. Has anyone been advised by a doctor to do a prostate massage or do this regularly for prostatitis? Advice and recommendations would be appreciated!

I will add a question to this to see if anyone massages the prostate for any reason and any tips? Thanks.

I have enjoyed prostate stimulation a great deal over the years. I don't do it for medical reasons, simply for the sheer amount of pleasure it brings. My favorites are a couple of insertables, which vibrate and one that also rotates at an adjustable speed as it massages my gland. I sometimes insert one of them while I am fucking, and it really heightens my arousal and pleasure. There are hundreds of different toys and devices created specifically for this purpose. The prostate is something men ignore, and they shouldn't.

They are not severe but annoying. Pain and a ball-like feeling. Also pain at times with ejaculation. I did PT three times and have some exercises. Breathing exercises too. I have had improvement and just wondered about prostate massage as you see above. Have you done PT and do you do any massaging?

No man, during my last medical consultations, my prostate was OK, but i have chronic dysuria from 5 years, sometimes painful eiaculation and sometimes i feel a golf ball in my anus. Exams were ok (urine/semen). No infection…Never found it. I have peyronie and ED and i’m scared to put an implant for theese issues…

I would suggest you call around and find a physical therapist who works with pelvic floor issues or pelvic pain. It is a very common condition for women and there are many PTs who do it. In three sessions I learned some exercises that have helped. I am looking into the prostate massage as part of this. My urologist just mentioned massage is passing and I did not ask about it. The PT does not massage the prostate and is working with the the muscles in that area. If you decide to do the PT, be prepared for a rectal exam like when you go to the urologist. It is neither here nor there--not painful, not pleasurable, no big deal. You will need to learn to relax the muscles in this area. I am going to purchase a prostate massager to see if that helps with the prostatitis. Also, I had peyronies and ED if you want to PM me.

I was just given a vague reference that I might benefit from massaging the prostate and most of the references here on FT are about prostate pleasuring. Yes, I'm interested in it for pain relief / decontracturing but I don't know how to do it properly.

I've got this idea after my last check for prostatitis/CPPS. Doc performed digital rectal exploration and massaged a little prostate to check it for pain, dimensions, etc. While the finger was painful, the short massage relaxed my hypertone for almost one day. I started to notice it some minutes after. I could seat in the office with a little bit less discomfort. I started talking about pelvic physiotherapy but he wasn't much interested in it. He just sent me home with antibiotics and a painkiller.

I never considered prostate massage before, but recently when I'm in acute the pain from the pelvic floor up to the tip of the glans is so discomforting I can't sit down and even walking isn't so easy.
