postponed.

I had been scheduled to have implant surgery on Oct 6.
I had some things happen that prompted me to postpone my surgery. I had built a sort of "house of cards" of conditions where I could have the surgery. All of these conditions fell into place right up until until they didn't anymore. I brought my A1c down, met my insurance deductible, etc. About a month before my surgery date a couple of the conditions fell apart. I wasn't able to bank as much vacation time as I hoped to, and my employer changed short term disability providers and coverage now doesn't kick in for a full 7 work days. That left me with almost a week of unpaid leave assuming no complications. I chose to put the surgery on hold. The main fear being if anything went the least bit sideways and I missed more work, the financial impact would be devastating.
Maybe next year I can revisit the surgery. In the meantime, an unexpected thing happened: by lowering my A1c, my circulation has improved. My wife tells me I'm getting better erections and they feel warmer. Still nowhere near intercourse, but movement in the right direction. I have ordered a refill on my trimix and am interested in seeing how that works for me now. Also curious to see if adding regular exercise further improves things for me.
