AMS 700 LGX DISAPPOINTMENT
I got my implant on September 28th of last year. I have the AMS 700 lgx. Thapar im very disappointed. The placement of the reservoir is very obvious and looks like a buldging hernia near the groin area. I was told by the patient liason that this should be revised but my surgeon thinks he's god and its ok. My next issue is o dont get fully hard to where its a painful errection, my errection is only about 70 to 75%, just barely enough to penetrate. My penis is of average size and should be able to get rock hard. Even when I fully pump it isnt rock hard. Any advice or is something wrong

Easy for me to say, but you should see a different doctor.
It would be tough if you paid out-of-pocket though.
It does sound like you have a problem.

Yes im trying to get an appointment with another doctor this month because I've seen YouTube videos where men had much bigger penises than mine get rock hard. The doctor told me because of my size is why it won't stand up. That sounds like total bullshit. I have insurance.

Who was the doctor? So others can avoid him...
44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.

My doctor refused to implant LGX cylinders 18cm and larger supposedly for the reason your doc stated.
I know many guys on here with the larger LGXs who don't have the rigidity problem.
I'm glad you have insurance and I hope you can get a consultation and probably a revision to fix THOSE problems.

Man, as a fellow LGXer I’m sorry to hear you are having troubles. Seriously.
I don’t know if I was just lucky or if it’s the doctor or what. My only and I do mean only disappointment has been a little girth loss (from 6 to a hair past 5 1/2) but I kind expected that from the LGX. Mine did a good job of preserving length, although it really took a year to get it all back.
As far as my reservoir goes, I worried about where the doc would put it since I’ve had a few hernias. I honestly don’t know where he hid it. It doesn’t hurt, I can’t feel it, it’s obviously close enough to fully fill my cylinders to a high enough pressure to stretch me out good.
The angle is great, rigidity/stiffness definitely ok, two years in it’s never failed to pump when I wanted it to or deflate when I wanted it to. It definitely expands when I pump it up. My flaccid is bigger now than it was (grower) but it’s not grotesque or an issue in clothes and I never wear underwear.
You definitely need to see a doctor with experience with AMS products. Guys could argue all day about which is best but truth be known, AMS and Coloplast both make great implants. There’s a bunch of guys walking around with LGXs who are real happy with them so I suspect your issue is related to installation not the device itself.
Good luck. Like everything else in life, this can be fixed. Until then it just takes time and is a pain in the ass.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.
Re: AMS 700 LGX DISAPPOINTMENT
I agree. Sounds like your surgeon did not place the reservoir or implant properly. I also would like to know who he/she is, not to name and shame, but to keep prospective future patients informed. You should also do some research here to help make a better choice for your next surgeon.
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.
Re: AMS 700 LGX DISAPPOINTMENT
I am very happy with the LGX. Gave me length and girth to where I am what mother nature originally had given me before my first implant. I have had three implants and the LGX implant gave me an expansion from 5.5 inches to 5.7 and a rock hard penis when fully pumped. So I believe the original author of the post needs to go see a urologists' that can fix the placing of the reservoir. I have three in me and I do not feel any of them. Something was not done right.

Re: AMS 700 LGX DISAPPOINTMENT
Thanks for the information guys. My errection points down rather than straight or up. The reservoir also kinda irritates me. I wonder will a surgeon fix another surgeon mistake? The doctor who did my implant is Dr Aydin Pooli out of North Hollywood and hes also onnthe Westside at UCLA. Initially he told me that hes done hundreds of them birds of them and then after I saw him on my 6 week post op appointment he said he had not done it in a while and that raised the red flag to me when he pumped it up and said it was rigid enough for an erection and I didn't think so. He also said that there was not a problem with the reservoir being where it's placed but I also didn't think so as well so I knew I was correct. When I use it to pump it up it seems as though it gets barely erect

Talk to Dr Mills at UCLA. https://www.uclahealth.org/providers/jesse-mills He's experienced with AMS and has a great reputation.
Implant - Dr Eid 12/2017, Titan Touch 20/21cm no RTE, 125cc reservoir
