Did VEDs not work for anyone else?

I have a physical brand of ED that is caused by some sort of tightness or damage near the "inner penis" after an injury. I tried using a VED and it does not work for me at all.
Did anyone have this experience? Did anyone else have a sort of ED caused by similar kinds of physical issues? It seems like most people here have had their ED caused by age, cancer/other medical condition, etc. And not as many thru physical injury.
I'm asking because I have a few particular concerns with how an implant would interact with my injury. I'm particularly worried that the implant would make the injury worse, since sexual activity has made my condition get worse and worse and worse (causes pelvic floor dysfunction, discomfort, etc)
