Implant w/Dr Loh Doyle (USC) - LGX700 15cm/5cm RTEs & Scrotoplasty

Last week I was injected with bimix followed by a penile doppler. Today it was confirmed by my urologist that the results show I have an arterial insufficiency aka organic erectile dysfunction. They're now submitting to my insurance company to get an implant scheduled and in the meantime I'm going to be prescribed a VED to use daily and get the tissues primed to fit the maximum implant size.
My Age: 31
Doctor: Jeffrey Loh-Doyle (KECK Medicine of USC)
Implant: AMS (I don't know what kind of AMS yet, but he prefers it over Coloplast)
Method: Infra-pubic
I think this may be a genetic thing since my dad ended up getting an implant after struggling with ED off and on throughout his life. I'm nervous to be undergoing surgery, but at the very least it confirms why pills and injections weren't working at all for me. I started thinking I might have some deep-seated psychological issue before the diagnosis, so at least that's one load off my mind.

Just got word that my surgery date is scheduled for February 8. I need to have a visit with my primary care doctor and get clearance for the surgery. Insurance has apparently approved the procedure since, even though on my list of exclusions it said it doesn't cover anything regarding sexual inadequacies, it also had a blurb saying the exclusion did not apply to organic conditions.
I told my GF earlier that I'm still recovering from my vasectomy which is why I haven't tried to have sex with her. While I did let her know I'm undergoing surgery, I said it is to remove a growth and am planning to keep my implant a secret as long as possible. If she finds out about it, it's going to be something she finds out on her own.

Thanks for the offer, bud. Glad you had a good experience with him so far. He seems like a good doc.

A bit of advise….be up front unless you can avoid her completely for at least two and a half weeks. You won’t be walking normal until after that. She SHOULD love it. You’ll never get whiskey dick again, hell you can pass out and it’ll be rideable!

GL brother - am a young guy as well and thinking about making that decision as well
Have you worried about how many implants you'll need over your lifetime?

Thanks.
I've thought about having to get multiple revisions due to my age, but it boiled down to needing multiple revisions versus going my whole life with inadequate sex and constant embarrassment. I bartend at a few nightclubs and before I had a GF it killed me how many times I had to pass on an easy hookup because I knew I couldn't perform even with high doses of viagra. When not even injections worked and it was confirmed I have an organic issue, it turned out to be a bit of a relief as it made my choice a lot easier.

Well me and GF both work 3 jobs and see each other maybe twice a month right now, so I'm gonna try and pull off the secrecy.

I see this worry repeatedly. While I sure do understand the unpleasant side to a revision. As blankloads69 alludes to. The only other option is where you're at now.
Modern medicine is just simply wonderful. But why should we expect implants to be different from many other medical treatments? Many of which need revisions and/or replacements over your lifetime.
I worked with a man that took 5 knee replacements to get one that worked. His other knee only took one.
My wifes sister outlived her pacemakers battery. She got a new pacemaker. Btw, I believe that requires running new wires down to her heart.
My brothers wife has had repeated surgeries for spinal curvature in her old age.
I'm sure most members have had dental fillings fail. Perhaps even leading to a crown or a bridge.
Please explain this as I only see two paths in this journey. It really is as simple as black or white.

I might be misinterpreting your situation or how implants work, but I don't think secrecy is an option. You're gonna be recovering for months/a year with exercises to regain size. Your dick will be significantly smaller and ineffectual for months. During these efforts you having an implant is obvious because of how erections are reached with pumping. You'd have to avoid having sex with your partner, first for a very long time while you recover, and then the rest of your life with the steps you must take to get hard.
She gonna find out eventually, and probably pretty soon.
Tell her.
