Ok, just got done at the Doctor said he would do Ambicor 2 pcs because I had a Prostatectomy said the three pcs Titian would be hard to put in because of it. He would have to send me to a different Doctor if I wanted the Titian. What is the biggest difference? I only want to go through it once and be happy! what would you guys do?

Your doctor's opinion troubles me. There are countless men on Frank Talk who got 3-piece implants following prostate surgery. Please get another implant surgeons opinion before you move ahead. If your surgery was different or complicated maybe that would change your choice of implant, but I still encourage a second opinion.

The doctor said I could get the titian but, he won't do it and would send me to a different doctor as the reservoir would have to mount under my skin in my stomach area, not the pelvic area because of the prostatectomy plus I have had other surgeries in the stomach area as well. I think he is afraid that I'll have problems?

That makes more sense. Still, get a second opinion. It's your penis and sex life on the line here.

I also had RP and can see no relation between the 3-piece implant and the prostate surgery. I also had hernia surgery with a mesh, which required the surgeon to carefully put the reservoir. I believe the issue is with the stomach surgeries not the RP, or maybe the RP is recently performed, and the area is still recovering. As Steve mentioned, seek another opinion. If your doctor said that you can have a Titan by another doctor, this means you still can have it. Go for the 2-piece only if the inflatable cannot be done at all. There will be a limitation of saline amount with the 2-piece implant which results in less rigidity than 3-piece.

I read the doctors reply slightly differently. To me, it sounds like he doesn't have the skill/training to place the reservoir correctly. An alternate might be he is a touch lazy or perhaps he feels he might need an assistant to help him & he doesn't have access to one.
Take the man at his word. Seek out a different surgeon. I think the guy is being upfront to you the best that he can be. Don't push him into something that he isn't comfortable with.
Good luck.

I think the doctor has to recommend first, and if you have a certain preference, it can be discussed. If you need more than 21cm cylinder, I think Titan is a must, 18cm LGX, in between CX is good. This is just my opinion.

Had to look up this 2 pcs AMS.
Not sure how prostate surgery affects the implant, but sounds like somewhere along the prostate surgery, Dr. had to do some other stuff because, according to what I have read..."Pre‐existing abdominal or penile scarring or contracture may make surgical implantation more complicated or impractical."

Well, you got the other opinion, so forget what I said, lol. UNLESS, Dr. mentioned that the 2-piece for a while before going to 3 piece.

With a reservoir, you will be able to adjust hardness more readily than at 2 piece. The 2 piece will/can only get hard to certain point, but not as hard as a 3-piece (think hardness in terms being able to do certain things, like drive a nail, lol)
