VED use POST implant surgery

Hello Bionic Brothers,

I am 6 weeks post implant surgery and doing great. AMS CX 21+2cm IPP penoscrotal approach with horizontal incision. Healed well and pump has settled into a great position for easy access. I'm cycling at least twice a day (more often of the weekends) and doing "THE exercise" as Dr. Perito calls it, to stretch my penis in all directions, followed by pumping to the max.

Due to my Peyronie's graft surgery and subsequent impotence over time, I've lost a good inch or so in length overall. I'm hoping with aggressive cycling and stretching to regain some of my lost length. This past weekend, I tried using my VED a couple of times and had no apparent problems using low pressure (about 5 to 7 inHG) for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Before proceeding with VED use, I thought I would ask the brotherhood to share any tips, techniques and experiences using the VED post-implant along with cycling and stretching to help restore length. I've read the published articles regarding post implant VED use and overall satisfaction rates but prefer to hear real life experiences from you guys.

Thank you all in advance for sharing your personal experiences. Frank Talk has been a great resource for me during my implant journey.

BTW - I was cleared for sex and had my first post implant orgasm on Friday and it was amazing. :D

I've enjoyed using the VED post-implant. Dr Hakky was not my surgeon but I did have a conversation with him over the phone, and he recommended the VED to ensure maximum growth of the implant. I've had no problems so far, in fact I think it makes inflating to the max far more comfortable because the tips are not stabbing into the rear of my glans quite as bad; the VED helps kinda stretch the glans out and softens the pressure from the tips.

Inflated, then I inflate some more once I'm in the vacuum

I'm using the VED inflated and flaccid. I haven't read this anywhere to confirm it's good, and I don't actually know anything, but I'd think it's helpful. Sometimes I'm doing it while fully flaccid, then after I remove the VED pump it to the max. Maybe using the VED expands the cylinders a little and pumping it in helps it stretch to stay there. Sometimes I'm also starting flaccid, then using VED for a few minutes, then removing it giving the implant only five pumps, then using the VED for a few more minutes, then 5 more pumps. Keep doing that going up and going down. Other times I try to pump while the VED is still attached.

Again I don't have any proof of this being a good idea, and I'm not even very smart about this stuff, but I know I'm not breaking anything and I think it's kinda logical that this approach is helping you give the device a good exercise.

The concerns I have with VED use post surgery is not only the standard issues with VED use but any possible increased risk of infection. VED traps blood in the penis and stops blood flow. And VED use for sex is limited to 20 minutes and several times a week. And VED use instructions warn of pumping to fast as even low vacuum applied to quickly can cause damage. And the relation this may have to infection rate. Infection is most at risk for 1 year following surgery. It reduces over that year and then from then on levels out at the extremely low almost never seen rate. But infection can happen any time.

So I have questions on what doctors are saying about how to use the VED post surgery. How to use it and how often. How long to stay with vacuum applied.

From some post I have read in the past it seems that VED use post surgery is faster in regaining size than cycling alone or pump adding cycling. But cycling will get you there if you put in the work it just takes a bit longer. As we are all different and I would think that the risk would be different for us as well.

I am not saying that you should not use VED post surgery. Just saying there needs to be proper care and discussion with your doctor about it first. And as with anything it does carry risk.

There was a post here not long ago with some recommendations: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18591&p=169899#p169899

Looks like Amazon link newbie443 left isn't working anymore, but I'm sure you can ask him.

Speaking of your concerns newbie, you seem smarter than I am and far more informed/experienced with implants than I am too, but I do want to ask - when you mention infections, what happens if you get one? Meaning, are there any negative long-term effects on your implant or your penis?

I only ask because it's my perspective that while cycling might get you there slower, if VEDs and other aggressive exercises are more effective at regaining/gaining more of my size, I am personally not concerned with the risks. Size is my priority because I'm a man and it's my dick for the rest of my life. That's more important to me.

I'm definitely not arguing because keep in mind I have a long history of causing self-harm with reckless behavior, and of course your opinion that speaking to your doctor first will always be correct. But it is my somewhat well-informed opinion that when the legitimate medical research that's peer-reviewed and everything is finding VED use pre and post-implant to be effectively gaining size with negligible complications, I am happily taking on the risks.

Sources I posted earlier that support VED use: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18561&p=169469#p169469

Again I'm not arguing and I have limited experience, but I am ok admitting that size will always be my priority, though I do want to know what possible damage I'm very likely doing to myself by being excessive like normal.

Warning! Do not use a VED on an inflated implant. I did it with my first implant and blew both tubes out. I have been using my VED deflated since my revision to the CX since 2017 with no problems.
