I'm definitely a grower, as my flaccid state is around 3" and erect goes to 7.1". My question is - is this going to be an issue once looking for an implant? What can I expect? Is there any chance that a fully inflated implant would bring me anywhere close to my 7"? I don't really mind becoming a shower, if that only meant that my flaccid dick will be more prominent. Maybe not ideal, but acceptable as long as I can inflate as close to my original size as possible.

Any opinions? How does the doctor figure out which implant size should be choosed based on the flaccid state that is significantly smaller than the erect state?

I was pretty much same set up grower not shower and. Lil over 7 once fully erect. I have had 2 surgeries now at 41 and will need another one as I had a bad revision from my 20 cm Titan coloplast. I can tell you after my 1st surgery I was so sad and scared as it was only 4inches erect! But after a month or so of cycling it it got back up to 6.25 so that was very manageable. The 2nd go around because the revision didn't work Im rt at 6" but if I could cycle I bet I could get it over that. My next device will be an AMS lgx as the Coloplast feela like a bent waterhose inside you.
Man, straight up being realistic with you. You honestly have to ask yourself... do I take chance on doing this with all the possibilities of good or bad that can happen or do I stay in this life rt now with ED that pretty much crushes a mans soul and leads him down a long dark road w noone to talk too and nothing to make you feel like a man again.
Its hard like every other man on here will tell you. I am glad I did it,,, just wish I knew what I knew now as I wouldve went with the AMS LGX in the bery beginning. Wish you the best

I think what he's getting as with the AMS over Coloplast is the "bent waterhose" comment. It really does feel like a kinked, slightly rigid hose inside your dick. The Titan does not get truly "soft" when deflated. I have not had the AMS but supposedly the have a more natural and softer inflated state. However Dr Eid, whom I consider to be the best and most experienced in the world with doing penile implants, prefers the Coloplast Titan as he feels it gives a better looking erect state. Pros and cons. Maybe someone who has had both implants can weigh in.

I didn't do before and after measurements. But when I look down at my inflated dick, it looks the same size as my pre-ED hard on.

My doctor did a stretch test of my dick at my pre-op appointment to get a rough idea of my erect size. He determined the exact size during surgery..

What's most important, though, is that I can get hard and stay hard whenever I want.

What you can expect is you would become a shower. To the best of my knowledge (meaning I'm confident I'm correct but I'm sometimes an idiot) is that the size of the implant in cms will correspond to the size of your erect penis now. Meaning, the implant size would have nothing to do with your current 3" flaccid but will have everything to do with your penis at its full erection size. I learned this by asking my doctor about how they measured my penis:

Hi, I talked to my patient liaison from Boston Scientific and she explained to me (I think) that for my penile implant surgery you measure my penis size as it was necessary for the size of the implant. So, what is it? I imagine it's a sensitive question for a lot of men, but if its in the records l'd like to hear it. Thanks

His response:

During surgery your total penile length measured 24 cm which is about 9-1/2 inches. That is the total length including the part of the shaft goes up underneath your pubic bone in front.

I asked for some clarification because I obviously don't have a 24cm (9.44") dick, and he responded:

Your penis actually extends beyond what you can easily see even with it stretched out completely. There is a portion that goes underneath your pubic bone and in fact is attached to the pubic bone to help support the penis. We would put in the implant, we have to include that area in the total length of the implant. So while you are asleep we are able to place the measuring device down into that part in order to get the total length of the penis. So the length of the implant is longer than what you can actually see. In fact you may be able to even feel the implant in your crotch area where the cylinders go back along the penile corpora that far back. I know that is a confusing explanation but I hope it accounts for your measurements in comparison to what measurements we got in the operating room.

The way I interpret this is they basically measured my stretched flaccid, which was 8.75" pre-surgery. My normal flaccid size was about ~4.8" pre-surgery, but that isn't relevant to the implant procedure. My flaccid size now increased from ~4.8" to a bit above 7" bone pressed.

What I am also fairly confident that you can expect is that your implant at full inflation will result in an erection longer than 7.1".

Currently my stretched flaccid is a bit above 9", and lately my erect size has been rising slow and steady. For the first month I regained size fast - after surgery but before my implant was activated I measured at 6.5". It gets activated and after another month with exercises it's back to 8". From there it's been increasing slow and steadily. Different days and different pumping results have not been consistent, but I'm currently getting max-measurements of about 8.5" on occasions. It's my belief I am grow larger than that, but it'll take time. Fortunately there are medical studies reporting men regaining/gaining size up to 18 months post-implant.

So you are a shower now? If so your flaccid went from 4.8 to 9” flaccid?
I to am a grower, I have never measured my flaccid but it easily more than doubles when erect and being a nudist if my flaccid goes from 4” to 7l my other nudist friends will notice especially the women, I will tell them either way but I would like to know ahead of time.

My flaccid length went from ~4.8" to a touch over 7" now, and it'll stay that size for the rest of my life. It's my stretched flaccid that what went from 8.75" to currently a touch over 9". If you're not familiar with what stretched flaccid measurements are it's when you grab the head of your penis while it's completely flaccid with two or three fingers and thumb and you pull it forward about as much as you can. This doesn't hurt. Just hold a ruler with one hand and grab the head of your dick with the other and stretch it out.

And yes I am a shower now with a obnoxiously long flaccid dick length who also wears slim-fit pants and skinny jeans, which makes me somewhat concerned about future professional and social situations, though a length that'll be really attractive to girls (though certainly not all women and older people who will find it obnoxious) and lots of tinder chicks and other gay dudes (I'm part-gay).

I was a little over 8” pre peyronies (wife said 9”) but we never really measured. After peyronies surgery I would say I was about 7 to 7.5, the wife likes it better because during sex when she was on top she would bottom out and say Ouch, I never noticed her doing that with other guys and she said they were shorter, that said I am a grower and around my friends at the nudist resort they will definitely see a difference in my flaccid state so I hope my flaccid won’t be to noticeable around them.
