When I say it’s burns like hell I’m not lying, only got out a few drops and it been hours. I took some meds but no luck. There’s nearly no pain elsewhere.

Edit: Just as an update. I went to the ER and they gave me morphine so I could pee. I guess this was my first time peeing after the surgery hence why it burned and was so difficult to pee. After I peed the first time under meds the pain went down to bearable then after. It’s a lot better now but still but still hurts a bit. Be post-op for about 30hr.

You might want to consult your doc— maybe have to be catheterized for awhile. Some, maybe most, leave them in for a couple days and you might be feeling the reason they do. Your doc should know what to do.

Seems like somthing I’m going to have to do until I see the surgeon Friday.

I might have to, hope I can make it to Friday when I see him or I’m going to the ER to get numb or stronger medicine.

It will likely go away in a few days on it’s own. I had the same problem and the Dr said it was irritation from the catheter during surgery.

This is my biggest problem and I’m nearly 6 weeks in, I also dribble 5 mins after I finish.
Don’t see the doc until May 6th.

How far along was it bearable without stopping everytime? I’m in the ER as I just can’t deal with the pain.

I would discuss that with your Dr asap. Ive only had the surgery done twice, on both occasions a catheter was installed during surgery and removed the following morning. Although I found the catheter to be really uncomfortable while it was in, once removed peeing wasnt overly uncomfortable.

If you are feeling extreme pain to the point where you can hardly urinate, that could be a sign that something isnt right. I dont want to alarm you because I imagine you are probably freaked out enough already, but its better to be safe than sorry.
