Scrotoplasty and implant surgery

Is scrotoplasty required for an implant surgery? I have kinda low hanging balls which may cause problems if I had pump placed in my scrotum. I read somewhere that surgeons usually do it during the same surgery. Is it true? Does anyone have any experiences with it?

I had scrotal webbing to the base of my glans. Don't have a picture. I had a hydrocle back in the 80's and the lining/support for my left testicle was removed and this cause stretching of my scrotum. My scrotalplasty was to remove the webbing and was not done to tighten or lift my testicles. I still have low hangers just 3 now instead of 2.

It made for a long incision with a lot of stiches. The stiches would catch and poke the under side of my penis if it was down. I ended up removing the last 1 or 2 stiches past 8 weeks post op as they had not dissolved as the others had. I am very happy with the outcome and the incision healed and the scar disappeared. The doctor that did my repair had a lot of trouble seeing the where it had been done.

My doc told me scrotoplasty can sometimes tighten the scrotum too much making it difficult to work the pump.

With out a quote I missed some of your questions in my earlier post.

No it is not required. It is extra and for me as I was paying out of pocket was an extra charge. But very reasonable as you are already on the table and use the same incision for the implant. Again mine was for scrotal webbing if you want to search for that. And yes it is usually done at the same time as implant. Most often men are worried about not having room for a pump with a small scrotum and high and tight testicles. First time I have run across anyone saying low hangers or a roomy scrotum would be a problem. It sure is not for me.

I had a scrotoplasty with the implant for aesthetic reasons and really like the result.
