ED from excessive porn and VED use
ED from excessive porn and VED use
Like the title says- Majority of my erections begin to become less strong when I started looking at porn. Over time I could not get up during sex because I had a set of dark standards which my mind had adjusted to setting due to how much porn I was watching. Next because I was having poor erections and not a lot of blood flow to my penis during sex women were unsatisfied which led me to start using VED because of the amount of girth I would achieve after use, yet VED ended up harming my nerves and later led to me having no erections.
30 yrs old. Current IPP failed in 2022. Waiting revision. No insurance. I’ve had both Titan & AMS.

Did you kept consuming pornography after your surgery?
Hard flaccid syndrome since 2019. Trying to get better with conservative treatments but an implant is on my radar
Re: ED from excessive porn and VED use
I firmly believe that porn is a poison to most men. I highly encourage the people I know IRL never to watch it again. Few can remove themselves from it.
I stopped watching it 7 years ago, one of the best decisions of my life.

I think its more likely that the VED triggered a venous leak, no? Peripheral nerves grow back slowly.
45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

Can a VED cause a venous leak?
I had varicocele and that took over a month of antibiotics to get under control. The infection in my balls was the size of a golf ball and was told it could have killed me if left untreated. At the time I was using my Bathmate VED and suspect that is what caused the varicocele in the 1st place.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)

Re: ED from excessive porn and VED use
I’m not sure what kind of internal physical damage a VED can do, but I would imagine they are atleast “fairly” safe as many doctors recommend them? As to porn, I assume that’s mostly a mental issue. I’ve read that guys addicted to porn go further down the rabbit hole to dark places, like chasing that first high for drug addicts. I don’t have any experience with that, although I have watched some occasional porn, it’s never been a consuming pass time.
Re: ED from excessive porn and VED use
Everybody watches porn. It's impossible to get physical ED from it; on the contrary, if it helps one to masturbate when otherwise one wouldn't then it is good for the penile tissues (use it or lose it). But yes, it becomes tougher to get mentally aroused from a lot of porn out there once you are used to it.
Maybe just find different porn? For me anything produced with professional porn actors is boring to watch and a total boner killer. There is a lot better amateur stuff where they are actually into it as opposed to the tedious pretending the professionals do.

44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.
Re: ED from excessive porn and VED use
Not wanting to go off topic too much but this is a subject that fascinates me.
I have always had a high sex drive and when not in a relationship porn is my go-to to relax and relieve myself.
I watch porn daily, often multiple times a day. It became
a routine for me and I can’t actually fall asleep now unless I have masturbated.
It’s not dirty and it’s nothing to be ashamed of, it never effected my erections and I think the key is variety. If you only watch a certain type of porn, whether that be big boobs, big asses or anything else which isn’t always natural then your brain and body becomes accustomed to it and anything different in a real life scenario MIGHT be detrimental to you becoming fully aroused IMO.
If you mix it up then I don’t think it becomes such a problem, at least it wasn’t for me even though i watch more than the average person probably.
Can it cause actual penile damage? Possibly IMO - if you are not fully hard and not lubricated, much like having sex, the penis will be more unstable and more susceptible to damage which could cause Peyronies which ultimately will likely lead to some ED issues as it progresses.

Implanted by Mike Fraser in feb 2022 due to a 80 degree dorsal curvature. 18cm Titan - way undersized. 8’ pre Peyronies, 6’ pre implant - currently 6’.

It is difficult to measure how many men have a problem with porn vs how many can control it where it has no affect vs how many think or appear they can control it but its actually a net negative in their life. I suspect most men would have a tangible improvement in their lives if they stopped watching porn. In my opinion, watching porn is like tricking your brain into getting the end goal (sex), but you didnt actually put in the work to get it.
In regards to alcohol, there is no beneficial study or thing that I have seen that would make me think that alcohol is beneficial to someone in any capacity. You can make the social argument for alcohol, but I have essentially stopped drinking and my social/sex life was better than before.
