Question for those with infection but no lost size

If you had an infection but didn’t end up losing size I have a few questions.

Which doctor handled your re-implant?

What did your treatment protocol look like? VED use? How long between infection and reinstall? Did you use traction. Etc.

Hi.

I explained this in another thread, but will explain again.

Time of infection was July 2021 - had an issue with first use of second implant. Doctor removed implant (installed semi-malleable place holding rods to help keep size) and attempted to treat the infection with oral antibiotics. By mid September 2021 it was obvious the 1st Implant surgeon (Richard Natale) had no idea on how to resolve the infection and I made appointment with revision specialist Ryan Terlecki (Wake Forest Health - Winston Salem, NC). Dr Terlecki immediately did scans that showed the encapsulated infection and surgery was performed early October 2021 (and removed the place holder rods saying that had he left them in any longer it would be a high risk of erosion . After healing a new surgery date was made for Nov 2021 - but at that surgery a small capsule of infection was found and again had to wait for surgery March 28 of 2022.

Post surgery it seemed I had definitely lost length (looked like almost an inch). At 5 weeks was permitted to cycle and at full inflation I had actually lost 3/4 of an inch. I started doing long cycling sessions (average 3 to 4 hours at a time - painful but I was adamant to get lost length back). I added in the "Perito" exercise every day or so, and could see I was making slow gains. Now at 3 months post-surgery I have gained over 1/2 inch in length back, and my girth is back to 6" around. Length is back to a bit over 6 1/4" and I feel confident I will gain at least another 1/4 of an inch. Yes, it was somewhat achy / painful to do the long cycling sessions (in the beginning 20 minutes felt like I would scream), but my goal of regaining at least 6 1/2" in length was my mantra. Now, at least once a week I pump full hard and sleep that way (shutting it off in the morning before I pee). Sleeping with a boner makes for some interesting dreams..... lol.

How many total months did you have nothing inside, not even malleable?

Did you use any VED or lengthening exercises during this downtime?

When I had trouble with my pump locking up, in those rare moments of success I would remain inflated for days. My record was 16 days and nights fully inflated. That was when I wore clown pants to work and was very short while inflated.

As I said, used VED once Dr said sutures were completely healed while waiting several months for reimplantation. Was over 5 months with nothing in me.

I had implant by same doctor well Terlecki, my question is or curious to know did you get a titan or AMS? I had the AMS 700 LGX, my understanding is that the LGX will help with getting length as well as girth increases possibly at this moment I just want to get back to the normal of what I was.

But have been post op only roughly month and half and lost a inch in girth as well as length. Just trying to get back to the average Joe so to speak but losing a inch on both sides of it kind of got me wondering if I did the right thing.

I'm nearly 5 weeks post op myself and have the AMS I didn't measure before hand as just grateful to get a functioning penis but I'm happy with the results apart from my pump is too high in my scrotum to use a VED. I'm currently cycling for an hour x2 a day.

So many posts express that you need the base healing to go down and will have a revelation of extra length then about the 8 week mark and you need to keep cycling people don't often see results until 6months to 12 in the most part.

Would you rather have a 5 inch that works or a 6 that doesn't.... that type of mentality may help.

Hope you have a good gaining journey ahead of you

Did you keep all or any natural engorgement after the infection

I did. Still can get a 3/4 chub (puffs up but not enough on its own for penetration), and when pumped my head engorges when I am excited.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner. Had not been visiting the site.

My infection remained localized in the pump pouch made in my scrotum, so did not affect penis (except for the scarring from 3 implants and 2 removals....
