Surgery with Paul Perito next Friday 7.29 - Any advice?

Postby Soon2BeBionic » Mon Jul 18, 2022 3:28 pm

Hi - I'm been reading everything on FT for almost 6 months and this is my first post. I'm getting upgraded next Friday in Miami with Paul Perito. I will be traveling myself so any tips for someone recovering alone or anything I should be thinking pre-op would be greatly appreciated. I plan to have all my meals ready for 3 full days and lots of ice on hand...other than that, is there anything you wish you knew before you went bionic? Thank you all for your contributions to the forum. It was by reading about many of your journey's that has given me the courage to take the final step. I'm a little nervous but more optimistic than anything. The anticipation is one of the toughest things for me now!
42 with severe venous leakage. Tried trimix for 3 years. It was great then stopped working. Getting my upgrade on 7.29.22 with Paul Perito. Infrapubic

Congratulations you're with one of the best. I had Penoscrotal and found that sleeping on a wedge pillow for several weeks helped with swelling and discoloration. Good luck

Best wishes and I found my surgery and care great with mine four years ago. Other than ice to sit on you should be fine. We stayed where most patients do so they were used to rooms needed ice. Follow his advice and soon you will be having fun.
