In twelve hours, I should be out of surgery and on my way to being bionic. I have to report to the hospital at 5 am and surgery at 730. Emotions are high but I keep focusing on the positive tomorrow my life will forever change. Keep me in your prayers and I will post as soon as I am coherent!

Good luck, dude. Remember to have plenty of ice bags around. Try to minimize your use of the pain pills. I found I didn't need them after the 2nd day.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery....I'm 78 years old, in very good shape....had my implant on August 6th. and am now getting the rewards...it is working great with no problems or pain, just pure pleasure. You are gonna really like the "new man" that will come out of your decision to have the implant. Keep us posted! JOE/Buckshot

Good luck, as I post this you are probably out of surgery and recovering. I will join the group at a date to be set later; planned for early November as all the people and facilities align.

as i'm writing this you should be out of surgery and probably knocked out sleeping...whenever anybody from this forum goes to surgery there are a million well wishes that go into the OR with you, that is what I love about this forum....once again you are in our prayers for a speedy and as pain free recovery as possible.

Thank you for all of your well wishes-sorry to be so long in posting but by recovery took an unsuspected turn. The surgery went quick and well-got home-went right to bed with hydrocodone by my side-the minute I woke up I took another hydrocodone and went back to sleep-at 7 30 am on wednesday, I was to go back to surgeon and have bandage and catheter removed. You all know my fear of the catheter removal from previous posts so I premedicated with a hydrocodone and xanax and went outside to wait on my driver. She was a little late and I remember feeling lightheaded and thinking I should sit down and wait. Well, the next thing I know is coming to on the curb surrounded by ambulance personell. Apparently, I had taked quite a fall onto the blacktop and lets just say the blacktop won. I was transported to the ER of the hospital where I had surgery- had blood work, exrays and ct scan. I busted the orbital bone that goes around your eye and my top jaw bone in two places. I was stabelized and transported to another hospital around three pm yesterday and had maxilofacial surgery late yesterday evening--I now have three plates in my eye orbit and upper jaw--spent the night in the hospital of course. The implant surgeoen came by to check on me-he romoved the bandage and we were both so stunned-there was absolutley no swelling or bruising of the penis or testicles-NONE! He was so impressed that he thought he might reconsider his post op procedures. At my request, I asked that he leave the catherter in overnight so I would not have to get up to pee and risk falling after the facial surgery. I had some IV pain meds for the facial issue but the pain from the pump and cylinder placement was minimal..the assistant surgeon who said he sewed me up came by this morning to remove the catheter and was equally astonished with no swelling or bruising. The pump is a little uncomfortable upon sitting or getting up. Last night the surgeon deflated it-he just grabbed the pump and did it before I knew what was going on-so I guess the key to pumping/deflating is knowing what buttons to push. To my surprise, that was minimally uncomfortable and even though he said he deflated, I still have this amazing hardon! The incision-sub scrotal vertical is tender today-oh yeah I have a chipped front tooth so a trip to the dentist in on schedule for monday-damn the price of becoming bionic! I have a big black eye so guess that makes up for not having a bruised dick!!! But the implant surgery was a breeze-and guys even the catherter removal was a breeze-I will say that the worst part was being sent home with the catherter but even that turned out to be a blessing in its own way. The best part about being deflated is that I get to return to his office and begin cycling in two weeks rather than his usual six weeks. He said I still could not use it for six weeks and the facial surgeon said I could not drink alcohol except wine for six weeks and said I did not need to smoke--what a boring life I am going to have--Will so be looking forward to Thanksgiving. Sorry to ramble-you are a great buch of men and I thank each and everyone of you for your kindness and support. I will forevery be greatful--Jim
