hey all,

I have a spinal cord injury which is the main cause of my problems. all things considered im mostly ok, I can still walk and have no bladder or bowel problems. I have 2 main issues, one is sometimes getting an erection is hard and sometimes finishing is hard. everything just isn't the way it was before. Cialis works sometimes and I just cant do injections mentally. I spoke with my urologist and he said that an implant is an option now (since its been a year and half since my injury and he said that skipping injections in my situation is acceptable). the main reason the implant appeals to me is the reliability, but considering all of the drawbacks im nervous. I only just turned 30 and I dont want sub par sexual performance through my 30s. can anyone speak to this or dealt with something similar. not a complete loss of function but less satisfactory than what you think is acceptable?

thanks,

At your age, I would have tried injections!
They do work for most guys and once you get over the thought of sticking a needle in your cock it is not a problem at all.
Once you get an implant there is no other option.
Message me if you like.

My ED began when I was 32. Having ED in my 30's was devastating for me, in part because it took years to determine that my ED came from damage to my pudendal nerve, rather an emotional/mental issue.

Viagra, Cialis, etc. worked decently for some years. But, as I learned through experience and had confirmed by the urologist who installed my implant, those drugs lose effectiveness over time.

Multiple brain surgeries caused the problem for me, so somewhat similar situation. ED since I was a teenager from that. Pills worked decently through 20s and a bit into my 30s, injections in my 40s didn't do so much, but I have heard they work well for many men. Implant is really last resort it is good but not like a natural erection so try all other avenues first in my opinion. Implants do work great and definitely the right choice at some point but I would exhaust all other avenues first.

I had tremendous lower back injury, 2 inches of compression and that was the start of my failing erections. The back has been fixed after 4 surgeries but the impotence remained. I was fairly young at 55 and newly married so it really affected me. I’m now implanted and very satisfied with the outcome. My wife is very happy too. Sex is better than it ever was and orgasms are stronger than ever for both of us. :)

If you are not going with injections, I would get an implant now, but I would suggest you try injections first. The worst thing that would happen would be you prove that they weren't a good option and can rest easy that you did all you could before slicing and dicing your love wand. You truly don't know if injections aren't an option unless you've tried it (unless of course they are physically dangerous for some reason). If your still sure that injections aren't for you, then it's time for implant. But remember that at your age it's probably not a one time experience. Given my conditions, I should have gotten mine at about 40, but hindsight is 20\20.

I did not give up on injections until the results were inconsistent. When they worked, they were great. My then-wife was a student nurse, and well, maybe you can guess how that could work. The point I would takeaway, is even if you can’t wrap your head around sticking a needle in your duck, you might want to try. An implant is not good enough to skip the step.

This is a difficult decision to make. It can be compounded by the mans access to a very good surgeon. The implant is great for on demand erections. But it is different than a natural erection. You will now have hardware in your body. And unless you have a very good surgeon that sizes aggressively many times there is size loss from the surgery. On the other side of this the longer you wait with ed you also risk size loss. With a very good doctor and early implant is the best chance to avoid size loss. Injections can also cause damage. Not in every case but in most over time. If you are lucky enough to be above average size (5.5-5.75") and the loss of a few centimeters is not a concern then you can afford to wait and expand your doctor choice a bit. Not trying to bum you out just trying to explain this to you as I understand it. For me nothing worked. So implant was my only chance. I really wanted injections to work and be able to inject for the amount of time I wanted to have an erection. But they they did nothing other than a little plumping. If you have a really good surgeon that sizes aggressively and then now would be a good time for keeping as much size. But as with anything there is risk involved. Your chances are very good but not 100%. Just like waking up tomorrow morning. I am not going to recommend anything to you just give you information to consider. Each of us make our own choice for this as no one can do it for us.

Good luck.
