In Recovery

I never thought I’d actually go through with it! Got implanted yesterday afternoon and spent night in hospital. I’m in no pain but I’m sure that’ll change once medication wears off. The only discomfort I have is the catheter. I hate catheters and I’m not looking forward to them removing it or urinating w/o it for the first time lol. Anyway I’m praying that the healing process goes well. I have had ED in some form for at least 25 years and ran out of solutions. When viagra came out I was in heaven. After that I tried injections which didn’t work and the fact I hate needles. The pump would work but it was numb feeling and uncomfortable. I hate to say it but I think my poor life choices have attributed to my ED. I drank and abused cocaine and ultimately ignored my diabetes for too long. Im hoping this will help my depression and guilt I’ve been engaged for about 3 years and even tho she has supported me, I think I can count the number of times we actually had intercourse on 2 hands, and it was basically stroking as fast as I could cuz I new it was gonna go limp within 2 minutes. There’s no worse feeling than have the love of your life sucking your limp dick. I feel like I’m rambling lol. AnywY I should be heading home. I got the jock, baby socks and band aid antiseptic spray , pre made some meals and got a list of tv shows to binge. Anything else I missed? Is it good to try to walk around the first couple days or just stay rested ?I appreciate the input. I will post again in a few to let you know what’s going on!

Congrats! Pretty much how all of us men are, try this, try that, and if it doesn't work or quits working, we look for the next band-aid solution. Then it has to be the final step.
Don't beat yourself down for your lifestyle. Yea, some things we should avoid but life is short and we're only here once. My theory is as long as no one else is harmed, why not? I'm sure my smoking addiction was part of the reason my ED started. Tried some other drugs along the way too.
My advice is couch rest for a day or two, ice bags on the scrotum to reduce swelling, by day 3-4 begin to move about as tolerated. Let us know how things go!
Hope you heal up fast. The implant will change your whole life, I'm sure. It will give you that confidence back that ED took away.

:D Well catheters out and I was able to urinate. Little bit of burning and I noticed a few blood drops on the jock where tip is. Doctor came in for 30 seconds. I managed to ask why he didn’t pump me up a little. He said it would’ve added to discomfort and pain. I have a follow up next week. ;)

Every Dr is different. A friend used my Dr 3 weeks before me and he was let pumped up 60% for 4 weeks. I started pumped 60% and at my one week check in he removed drain, stitches and said he would be out of town for my 4 week check in so he deflated me and said I could start cycling in a couple weeks. My friend waited 4 weeks to start cycling, I started on day 13. We both had great results just a little short on both but we’re both regaining little at a time.

I'm just a few days ahead of you, had my procedure done 9/12 and no catheter but a jp drain was attached to me. I'm getting that taken out soon and hopefully I can speed up the healing process. I have some stitches that also may need to come out, my doctor performed the infra-pubic approach.

Every doc is different on if they inflate you or not. Mine left me inflated to near 60% for 5 1/2 weeks. He would have deflated me at 2 weeks, but I was way too sore.

I’m icing the boys down as we speak lol. I’m kinda wishing he did inflate me because I’m really anxious about touching anything down there ! At least I would’ve been under anesthesia! I suppose it’s much easier for me to pee right now tho lol. Another question to those that have used the antiseptic spray, when is it safe to start using that? Right now im really not in much pain and just the soft gauze in the jock feels good. Also my Dr said I could shower. I thought I’d be waiting at least a day or 2 for that. All in all im doing pretty good and I hope I stay that way. Im sure im not the only one that was petrified just thinking of this procedure. But like all of you I finally realized I needed my sex life back!! Thanks for all your help and info!

Glad you're feeling ok. Inflation will come soon enough, don't hurry it. Think of what doc just did to your penis! You'll have to wait longer if you mess things up. For me touching anything down there HURT for a couple weeks.
Yes, I was terrified going into that surgery. It was my first ever surgery as an adult. I knew nothing about implants except it would allow me to get an erection again. I didn't find FT until 5 months later.
