3 piece to malleable- anyone else?

I posted about this previously and I know Agfa13 has a great post on this very thing. I’d like to see if there are others who have faced this as well.
Had the titan implanted, Got activated after 3 weeks and didn’t Look back. I love this thing and was extremely happy. About 2 weeks ago I started to get swelling in the same part of the scrotum the pump is in. Saw the doc and he said it was possibly some trauma reaction and it should subside. He advised to ice it and take a short break from activity. Unfortunately, the swelling increased daily. As of yesterday my testicles is so swollen I can barely feel the pump. It’s not painful in any way other than the sheer weight of the right scrotum. There’s no accompanying fever or outward signs of infection.
He advised that the smart move may be to remove the titan and replace it with malleable implants to resolve the swelling issue and safeguard against what could be an infection.
I’d love to get feedback from anyone who may have had a similar experience. I have my next appointment today at 0900 and he has availability on Wednesday or Thursday if this ends up being an infection. The goal is to wait 3 months and go back to another 3 piece implant if I’m not satisfied with the malleable.

This looks strange to me. Your doctor shouldn't think of removing a recently implanted 3-piece without being sure that there is an infection. Let's know what happened in your appointment yesterday. If an infection is found, then yes, a malleable is necessary. Is your doctor a high-volume one?

Thanks for the reply!
This is not a rash decision. We’ve been monitoring it for 2 weeks. It started as swelling but no amount of ice was working to reduce the swelling. The swelling has continually increased despite compression and icing. Surgeon is making every attempt to resolve this without the surgery. We did a cat scan today and are waiting for the report. I have developed a sharp pain in the shaft and perineum and have been feverish over the last three days. My surgeon is high volume and as I said has been working to resolve this without surgery but the signs are increasingly pointing to an infection.
I’m starting to feel that surgery is the option that will end up winning out. So I guess the real question is, what do I expect from the malleable implant? I don’t see much in herewith malleable reviews.

Malleables get a lot of flak around here, but their satisfaction rates are pretty high (albeit lower than inflatables) and several members here have reported positive experiences. In particular, there was a porn star who had has Titan removed and replaced with a malleable because he hated the pump bulb showing in his scrotum on camera. He seemed to be doing great, and his results looked excellent. However, he eventually stopped posting so there's no way to know how happy he was over the long run. The one member you're referring to who had a malleable placed as a space saver following an infection wasn't as thrilled with it, but if I recall correctly, he was undersized, possibly due to scarring or to complications from the infection, which contributed to his dissatisfaction.

Sorry to hear that. I believe the main objective for the malleable is to preserve your length and girth, while waiting for a revision with a new 3-piece. It will be shorter to avoid erosion. Of course, you can have sex with the malleable when cleared by your doctor.

Thank you for that. I found the long post and replies for the member you’re talking about and I believe you’re right. He was woefully undersized. My current titan was perfect. I lost no length and just a little girth that I’m sure would have come back. Right now the scrotum with the bulb is insanely swollen and I’m looking forward to resolving that. I’ve read a lot about the malleable since last night and I’m cautiously optimistic. I’ll also look for the porn star post. That’s interesting.
I appreciate the input greatly.

No one wants to be smaller but the pain and discomfort are worth losing a bit for a while. I’m hoping it’s not a dramatic loss. Thank you!

how long after your surgery did this swelling begin?

I am one guy that had an infection and a malleable put in one side, and then ultimately everything removed. I would say have the surgery asap so you can get the infection cleared. My original surgeon wasted two surgeries messing around with cleaning up the infection and should have just removed all the infected pieces and let it clear up

I started out with just a bit of swelling. About week 3 it was more noticeable. Week 4 I knew something wasn’t right. It got worse daily after that. I got to use it several times but the swelling made it less pleasurable. Cat scan today sealed the deal that it’s an infection and we are doing the surgery tomorrow
