So a little about me….

I am 35 years old, married, have a career I love and a life that I love. However, ED has been an ongoing issue for me for the last 11 years.

Let me back up some and start with my past, because I do believe that my past experience with drugs has been a huge contributing factor as to why I have severe ED today.

From the age of 11 until age 24 I used alcohol and drugs almost daily. I ended up with a cocaine and crack cocaine addiction that lasted for 5 years and I believe the constant use of stimulants in the high amounts that I was taking messed up my vascular system in some way.

After getting sober, I started using anabolic steroids and of course, I abused those as well. Now here I am today at 35 years old, sober from drugs and alcohol for over 4 years, and only on replacement Testosterone therapy through a doctor.

Today… I am unable to get hard almost at all. If I take 100mg if Viagra I have about a 50/50 chance of getting an erection hard enough to have penetrative sex with. And then even if that happens, I lose the erection as soon as it goes in.

ED meds constantly make me feel like shit, headaches, flushing, always stopped up and can’t breathe and they simply just aren’t working anymore.

I have been doing reading on implants and I have an appointment scheduled in a couple of weeks. I do know he may want to try other routes such as tri mix injections or penis pumps, but I am simply unwilling to rely on either of those for a sex life. I’ve been at this long enough and it’s something I can’t handle anymore. I need a permanent fix!!!!!

I do have insurance through my job (Aetna/Meritain) but I doubt they will cover it due to my last drug and steroid abuse. So, I am prepared to pay out of pocket.

The urologist I am meeting with is Matthew Pollard in Nashville, TN

Anyway, that’s really it for now. I just wanted to make a post to maybe open up some dialogue or for other people out there in my situation.

Thanks for reading.

Hello mate

Crazy story! Happy for you that you're taking action and good on you for getting your life back on the right track.
I sypmathize a lot with the "i need a permanent fix" part. I'm 30 years young and about to get implanted in 2 weeks. Injections are just not an option for me aswell.
I hope everything goes well for you, let me know if you wanna chat.

Cheers

If you decide to go the implant route, as most of the brothers say, go to a high volume doc. maybe Hakky in Atlanta -- last I heard his fee is $20K compared to someone like Eid who is $30K. Best of luck to you !

Wow, your history is practically identical to mine. My ED started as a teen and I became totally impotent by 35. I waited till I was 62 before implanting. I wished I had the knowledge and resources to have this surgery back then. By waiting, I've lost over 2 decades of sex and some size to my penis. If you go too long without erections you can lose size even post implant. My procedure had it's problems, but in the end I am elated at the results. My teen size was about 6.5 inches and stayed that way even through the iffy years. But after years of no erections to speak of my size went to 4 inches after implant. I was somewhat disappointed with that, but mostly thrilled to have erections and sex again. I was happy with 4 inches, but now after 4 and a half months I've grown to 5 and one half inches. If you have the resources and know that you cannot get natural erections, I believe you will be very happy with your new toy. Do yourself a favor and read Franktalk often and do a lot of intelligent research going in and ask your doctor lot of questions before your surgery.

I appreciate all the replies… on top of dealing with ED for 11 years now, there’s another reason having this implant sounds so amazing….

Even when my penis worked fine, I was always a premature ejaculator. I would last 1-2 minutes at most and most of the time less than that..

Obviously I would NEVER consider getting an implant an option, especially at my age, but I have never truly enjoyed sex to its full potential and NOW I can’t even get erections with medication so I think it’s time. Plus, my wife is FULLY supportive.

So for those of you who have an inflatable implant, and are happy with it…

Is it really as amazing as it sounds? Being able to get HARD ON DEMAND and have sex as long as yo want to and let your partner please themselves as long as they want to without any fear or anxiety of performance issues?

To me it sounds too good to be true and I am willing to pay whatever the cost to have it done because I have TOO MUCH LIFE LEFT TO LIVE and don’t want to waste any more time making amazing love to my wife.

The implant has some drawbacks but if it's your only remaining option then it is definitely a great option. You will for sure be able to have sex and not have to worry about going soft. If the pills aren't working and injections aren't for you, I'd definitely say go for it.

We have a lot in common. I was a crippling alcoholic except the few years in my 20s where I stayed sober. Pills or injections or whatever else are not worth the effort. Implants are guaranteed to be effective and will be the permanent fix you need to keep you hard. The reason that's 100% true but not "too good to be true" is because of the reality that having this device shoved up your balls isn't quite the height of male attractiveness, lol. I mean, there's hot sex with your throbbing cock at maximum arousal with your partner with a nicely working dick, and there's implanted dicks that take 20 or 30 or 40 pumps to get you hard and now your head never really gets hard.

Those issues don't concern me and the 100% guaranteed erection surpasses any feelings of inadequacy. So an implant will get you what you need, but it's best to realize that you don't suddenly become a sex god - just a man with a dick that finally works right.

Also if you care about keeping or gaining back size you lost from ED I'd recommend using a VED. Start now, it will help.

Thanks for the replies… as stupid as it sounds, I’m nervous about the damn doctors appointment. I don’t look forward to talking about all of this shit. I feel like I’m way too young to have to even consider doing this and it’s embarrassing.

You're a crack addict, lol. Could be a whole lot worse. And I can promise you no urologist practicing medicine in America or the rest of the first world would ever blink in eye in response to your dick info. They've heard it all.

You're correct. My doctors assistant is female. She has heard it all. Btw, a point to know. She teaches the inflation technics.
