Base of penis

Hey guys, I have a question. But first I just want to say how much I appreciate your willingness to answer questions and help us on this journey. Seems like lots of questions come up after the implant as well as before. I was implanted 5 days ago and things are going really well. No pain to speak of. Only took a pain reliever on the night of surgery and that was just in case. Today I was able to get about 13 good pumps and I like the results. The question is after I deflated there seemed to be a hardness at the base of my penis. Is that hardware or did I not my deflate enough?

Congrats! Glad the procedure went well and you are on the mend.

Is there a particular area of the base that feels hard? The tubes that jettison saline from the reservoir/pump/implant runs on the right side of the base of mine. For me, it feels more like those tubes are running tightly/right beside the base rather than actually "on" the base.

Not sure if this is helpful but others will weigh in I am sure. Good luck and enjoy!

Same feeling on mine. Tubes run around the base. infra pubic installation

Bad,

You are only 5 days out of surgery and are doing great, but you still have a lot of swelling to subside then you will look and feel different. It takes a few weeks for the swelling to go down. Early measurements are often off because of the swelling too, just let your body heal.

I had the same thing around the base. I thought it was a key ring or something going around. I was really concerned that they left something in on accident. As the last couple of weeks have went by it feels less protruding and I can still feel them if I go looking for them. Under my shaft at the base I can feel several tubes but once I pump up I don't give it a second thought. Just being able to have a serious erection is a blessing

Glad things are going well so early in the healing. You probably felt some of the tubing at the base. Normal.

I agree that things will not feel back to normal until you are completely healed up and it takes four to six weeks. Once healed, it will feel very normal. Do not rush into pumping the cylinders up to early, it could open up and break the stitching. It happened to me, that is why I mentioned it. Thing is they will not restitch it, they just let it heal up by applying antibiotics on the incision.

As others have said, don’t start early unless Dr suggests it. My actual implant tubes were very firm at first leaving me feeling like it was hard all the time but as time and exercises go it has softened up dramatically. Give it time… I felt like I was healed at 4 months.. now at 6 months I realized I’ve come a long way in the last two. Be patient.. it’s well worth the wait

Could you elaborate a bit on what improvements you noticed during those last two months? Also, when did the pump bulb start breaking in?

At 4 months it wasn’t comfortable to pump to the max for sex.. usually let the pressure off just a bit . Now I usually leave it a bit shy for for play and always pump to max just before the plunge. Also at 4 months I would get a little tender for several hours after the perito exercises and now no matter how hard I bend it I don’t get sore. At 2-3 months I noticed the pump bulb getting easier and by 4-5 months it got a lot easier… and now it is even easier than it was. Still have to two hand it to get the max but much easier on the initial pumps to get it to a point of hard then it’s only hard after that because I’m forcing a lot of fluid in. I feel like the majority of the break in is done on mine as I’ve been very aggressive with the pumping and bending.but wouldn’t be surprised if I get maybe another 1/4 over the next 6-12 months
