Penis head issues after implant

Hi all,
I am at about week 5 implant post-surgery. The left side of my head has little feelings at all. The right side of my head is still very sensitive and I get a pitching feeling there whenever I move around while wearing underwear. I have been free-balling at home in warm-up pants to bypass this pain. My Dr says not to worry about it as it should get better as I recover more. Any similar experience you can share? Thanks in advance.

There have been several threads on this with penis and scrotal pain. Some have used a cream but I cannot remember the name of it. Some have used a baby sock but that may have some trouble staying on. I used Separate pouch underwear. I used David Archy bamboo when I was recovering. This takes a while to heal and I had a long incision from scrotoplasty and removed the last stiches over 8 weeks post op. I can't find DA bamboo separate pouch any place but Separatec has them. They really help out with the scrotum also.
Good luck.

I had considerable irritation just behind the glans for several weeks. Not sure if the tips of implant was moving around or the fact that after first deflation I had a slight bend in tubing just behind the solid tip of the implant causing a bend or a corner to stick out there. After a week or two I started putting a few pumps in after deflation to hold things a little straighter. After 6-8 weeks things must have settled in because now the only place it bends(kinks) is just in the fat pad at the base and it doesn’t cause any discomfort at all.

Tender for a long time after my implant, especially the head.
Rubbing in underwear drove me crazy. I used a kids sock to pull over my shaft to prevent that. It stayed on fine.
Aspercream was my other go to for that sensitive soreness on my shaft and head. A small dab smeared on kept me feeling better most of the day. Wash before sex though.

good suggestions regarding the sock and the aspercreme, thanks. What was "a long time" for you. I'm now 8 days post and still too sore to get much of anything done. Trying to get off the codeine, but if it's going to be sore for three weeks, may be better to plan on a refill.

Peripheral nerves do regenerate but nerve regeneration can take month to years.

Think it was on day 7 the hydrocodone and tramadol doc gave me was only making me nauseous and not touching the pain, so I asked for stronger med. 5 days of Percocet helped but made me so constipated it hurt worse. Follow up on day 14 I was still hurting so bad doc couldn't deflate me. Maybe a month out and I was doing ok but still hurt if things got messed with. By 8 weeks out pain was minimal but my reaction to the antibiotic made my shaft feel sunburned. That lasted for almost 6 months, gradually easing with time. That's where Aspercream really helped me. Make sure stitches are healed before using Aspercream, wash it off before sex. Side effect will make your head numb and may delay orgasm.
