Eid Revision!

Postby NJ Fred » Tue Jan 24, 2023 1:23 pm

The waiting is soon over. This Thursday morning, I will be at Dr. Eid's Manhattan office to be assessed for a revision of my failed AMS implant originally done in 2020.

I am excited. I am scared. I am hopeful.

My 2020 implant was done prior to my prostate cancer diagnosis. Now, after successful radiation, prostate cancer is but an unpleasant memory.

Cross your fingers for me, brothers.

Can I ask how ot failed and how you noticed initially failed? Pain? Etc

I have an ams too and am curious.

Did you gain length since pist is implant?

Did you get a malleable to keep you ticked over until new implant?

Sorry so many questions. Last one is are you getting wnother AMS? OR TITAN?

If it's Eid, betting it's Titan. At any rate, all the best to you -- you will be in the hands of the Master -- if any doc can do a good revision, it's him.
Again, best to you for a successful procedure and recovery!
75, used pills, injections -- all lost effectiveness. Titan implanted by Eid in Feb '22.

The device was somewhat painful to inflate almost from day one. The original Uro (who installed the AMS) then diagnosed that it was actually self-inflating due to a bade component.

Since I used it only infrequently, I never did anything to recover the almost 1-inch I lost.

I intend to query Dr. Eid thoroughly as to his opinion on using a malleable for my revision. Yes, I have read much on this site about pros and cons of malleables.

I will report back after Thursday's appointment, Right now, it's off to my study to accomplish the necessary paperwork and gather a few documents I want to bring to the appointment.
