Gents—

Got notice today that Dr. Eid has taken ill, and appointments (consultation or surgery) over the next few months are being postponed.

My thoughts are with those who are impacted, myself included.

On my video consult with him a few weeks back, he had quite a nasty cough. I figured it was a winter cold, but now not sure.

I hope him speedy recovery. A guy like him does this work because he loves it.

That's a bummer. Wish him a speedy recovery as well.

Having his age in mind, I wonder if he won't even come back

Oh no, so sorry to hear that about such a wonderful man and masterful surgeon. He was very kind and personable with me— treated me as though I was his first patient.
I am sure his other patients join with me in having him in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.

Yes, I got an email today that my surgery scheduled for Friday has been postponed. They haven’t given any new date which is worrying. I emailed them back to which they replied that they will be able to give any news only next week.
I really am hoping that Dr. Eid feels better soon.

Well wishes to Dr. Eid. Hope he feels better soon.
Bummer to anyone scheduled for surgery with him that now is postponed.

Heard the same thing this week. I called to schedule my 90 day follow up appointment. I was told they are not scheduling any appointments with Dr. Eid until further notice. I am now on a callback list when his schedule opens up again.

I explained that I am having problems with the LH distal tip coming out of the glans and have ongoing pain in that area. I was told they are referring emergency situations to another urologist in the the Northwell Health network or I can come in to see one of Dr Eid’s medical assistants for opinion. Neither seem like great options. Still deciding what to do next. Do I wait it out hoping for a speed return by Dr Eid? Get a different doctor involved in the midst of my recovery process? I lost a lot of sleep last night.

I wish the best for Dr. Eid and feel sorry for everyone caught up in this unfortunate circumstance.

If it's not inconvenient, I would see Eid's assistant. He has probably learned from the best.
I see an assistant at my dermatologist, and he seems better than some doctors I've seen for that.
