Coloplast Genesis (classic) Question

Got this one installed under Eid’s direction as opposed to the One Touch because he claims it will last twice as long.

That being said- the squeaking/quacking sound during inflation is LOUD. Anyone have any tricks to mitigate? I couldn’t imagine discretely pumping this thing while in bed with someone else.

Mine started out quiet but by 4-5 months it got really loud… now at 8 months it seems to be getting quieter although it is still impossible to be totally discreet. If I pinch the pump up closer to the release valve it seems to be a bit quieter and also I can gently squeeze it really slow and sometimes it’s quiet. I’ve seen this question before and most say it’s just what it is and abviously nothing to do about it.

My Titan was quiet for maybe 2 years before it made noise. Now with a fast full pump it makes a squeak my wife can hear. I'm assuming since the bulb has gotten softer a squeeze is putting fluid through faster. If I pump slow no noise.

Mine made a little noise, but not loud. I started squeezing not so hard that seems to help, I think the sound is the fluid going thru the tubes to fast.

I think it’s strictly a Classic/Genesis pump issue. The One Touch doesn’t squeak the same way. Eid felt like the Classics lasted a lot longer hence why he recommended it, but man this thing quacks like a damn duck LOL. Wish I went with the OTR tbh…

tbh, me too.
Not because of the squeak. Mine isn’t that loud and it’s very easy to pump up. My regret is because of the slow and difficult deflation. It worked fine during the first 4-6 weeks but seems like something changed and now deflating is frustrating.

Try changing hands that you're using to squeeze the deflate buttons. I've been using my left hand continuously it was having difficulty deflating that I switched to the right and it's much much easier.. Takes practice.

How have you found the sound?

For any young single guys considering, I would suggest looking strongly into the Coloplast OTR.

The genesis/classic is obscenely loud

Other than Dr. Eid, do we have other doctors saying that Coloplast classic is more durable than OTC and AMS? If this is indeed the case, I am willing to choose classic despite its flaws. But I can't seem to find much evidence on this other than Dr. Eid?
