my implant was very sore until the 16th week or so. Now i slowly move my penis from side to side to minimize "tenderness". Pulling it out to piss is a no-no. Rolling over in bed at night requires moving the penis also. But it is still great to have the implant!

I’m no doctor but 20 days is nowhere near healed.
When I asked my doctor how long it would take to fully heal he told me a year.

You need more patience. I am 4.5 weeks out and most of the pain is gone . The shaft pain was indeed there for a while , and icing really did help. I also would slip the ice packs between my scrotum and thigh, on one side, then the other, of my scrotum. At times I would wrap the ice pack around the shaft of my penis for about 20-30 seconds at a time . I did all that in bed usually before going to sleep or taking a nap. I used rectangular (approx 4" X 8") re-freezeable CVS brand ice packs that came with their own cloth case. At this point my only real source of pain seems to be when I sit down and the pump is in a position where it rests on what I am sitting on, and then pushes into my scrotum. I am assuming (hoping) that location of pain will gradually fade away as the pump becomes encapsulated and/or moves a little lower into my scrotum . It would be a real pain in the balls to always have to carry a donut pillow to sit on at restaurants or wherever else I went for the rest of my life ...

And here is what I have been doing about underwear and the penis while it is healing. First off, I bought several pairs of slip on jogger pants. The only pair I found with a real fly was at Walmart. Most of the pairs I have don't have flys . I also got several pairs of Jockey underwear with that opening in the front that the penis can slip out through. Here is how I assemble all of that :
1) I take a cotton sock (I use my wife's white socks, she has small feet) and slip it over my penis . I bunch up the sock where what would usually be the top of the sock (the opening on the sock) meets my groin. The bunched up sock makes a sort of collar at the base of my penis.
2) I put on a pair of elastic type underwear (I do not use cotton boxer underwear) that has the opening in the front that the penis can slip through. I reach through the opening on the underwear, and feed my sock encased penis through the opening in the underwear. The underwear then sits back towards my groin, holding the collar of the sock in place.
3) At that point, if I want to provide some firm support to hold my penis up I can put on a no fly pair of tight underwear (similar to a speedo bathing suit) on top of that , and then the penis will be held upright so I can walk around in public wearing a pair of jogger pants without a tent pole sticking out in front of me OR:
4) If I am just around the house I can simply put on the jogger pants without the speedo type underwear
Having the sock in place over your penis will greatly reduce the abrasion on the head of your penis when it rubs around on your underwear. I also picked some very smooth lycra type underwear that feels similar to silk (less abrasion if you are not wearing a sock).
Finally : I ordered some underwear through ali-express that has what looks like an elephant's trunk sticking out the front of it . The penis slips into the elephants trunk part of the underwear. It should arrive in a few days from now.
Hope you feel better soon.

thanks TurnBackTime, the 3 would be the right option to go to work or go out, the problem is staying 7/8 hours with tight underwear and with the shaft that hurts, I hope it will ease the pain because I have to go back to work, I'm already 20 days missing, this story has become a ball and chain

I know what you mean . I have been applying for jobs and went for a second zoom video interview on one of the applications the other day. I think that I subconsciously blew the interview because they would have wanted me to start this coming week, and all the time, in the back of my mind , I was trying to work through how I would handle the erect penis situation. I have a Dental appointment coming up in a few days, and I am not sure how it will be laying back in the dental chair with a tent pole sticking up. I can wear tight underwear so the tent pole stays against my groin, but that does become painful and I think I am cutting off circulation somewhat . That will probably be what I do for the 45-60 minutes I will be at the dentist.

FWIW, when going "out," I wear UnderArmor lycra shorts (or tights when it's cold) under thin/causual pants to hold my implanted dick close to my body.
This keeps my dick from sticking out and the buldge isn't that noticeable. At least not to me & I haven't noticed any "stares" yet.
Wearing the shorts (or tights) can be uncomfortable (but not painful) for me because my dick still self-inflates (after deflation) to a semi-erect state and because it's still a bit sore and sensitive only 19 days post op.
However, it is manageable and I can keep my dick positioned in this way for hours if need be but it feels much better when I can just let it hang free in loose sweatpants as I do at home.

I returned to work as a pilot exactly one month post op. Still 60% inflated i had to attend to the bulge.
As others have mentioned, a sock on the cock rocks. (<---see what i did there?
). To that guy above who used his wife's socks all i can say is she must have REALLY tiny feet or he won the genetic lottery! I used baby socks. Bought a 6 pack at Wal Mart, which allowed me a clean one every day. Cut off the elastic and it fit like a little sweater, complete with a "Sonic the Hedgehog" logo for comedic value. If i didn't use the sock everything felt abrasive against my circumcized glans.
When going to work or out in public now, i first put on a comfortable pair of cotton brief underwear. Pull my sweatered dick straight up, and then put on a size-too-large jockstrap over that. It hides the bulge nicely (but there definitely is a bulge where there was not one before. Acceptable). On my 2 hour drive to work i keep my fly open and everything pull down the jockstrap and underwear to thigh level and pray i don't get in a crash or get pulled over. That's just less time with it uncomfortably compressed. At work i secure everything back up snug and off i go. I find that after about 3-4 hours of sitting i get sore. Circulation and compression begin taking their toll i think. I will excuse myself to the lav to pee and basically just let everything hang and air out. After a long day i am very ready to get that stuff off, but overall it is an acceptable level of discomfort that does not distract from work.
The soreness when sitting (at home, with loose shorts and no underwear) is completely gone now. No need for the donut cushion anymore.
At one month i began walking a mile, twice daily. (jockstrap on in case the neighbors were out). I now am walking 3 miles daily and will return to the gym this week i think. I think the walking is good because it keeps things moving around in the scrotum. As far a I know, I want everything hanging free and un-adhered to anything. I've watched some pumping videos and it seems the guy doing it really pulls the pump out tight against his scrotal skin, looking like a marble between his fingers. Can't be good to have it stuck to any tissue if that's how it's going to be. Will find out soon enough i guess.
Man, I'm tired of this constant chubby.

the strange thing that the cock and everything else hurts less when cycling than when it is flaccid, i am experimenting how many pumps it will take me to have a rounder cock is that it is harder than a natural cock, i have come to the conclusion that 20 three quarter pumps I can get a very natural and rounded erection but it lasts better than a natural cock, I can also do oral better than when it's 100%, 100% I only do it when I ride a bicycle and it's really unnatural except that I lose sensitivity, 33 pumps now and it hasn't grown even 1 centimeter in length, only in width looking like an unnatural squashed sausage, so to have more pleasant and comfortable sex 20 pumps for me
